Virgin Media retention deals (post your haggling successes)

Doesn't seem that hard for those with BB/phone this year to get a decent deal, see many getting £27 1gig/netflix.
This was over live chat and didn't take too long, didn't need to cancel and wait for callback or anything like previous years.

Retention deals were a bit trickier to come by this year for me.
Cancellation went in and initial call back from Retentions didn’t throw up anything special.
Waited a couple of weeks then rang them back.
Ended up with:
500MB Volt BB
Mega TV
Weekend chatter phone
2 TV boxes
TNT Sports
£63 a month
Was previously paying £62 a month but with 250MB Volt BB.
Happy with my new deal, only 1 price rise next April.

My current deal of 350MB BB boosted for £21 expires next month, increasing to £60. Been on VM chat today to give 30 day notice and got offered the below deals:
Option 1: For just a total of £41.00 per month (£36 for your media and £5 for O2 sim) on a new 24-month contract, you’ll enjoy 362Mbps along with landline services. Includes an 4GB O2 sim.
Option 2: For just £45 per month on a 24-month contract, you’ll receive 362Mbps internet and Anytime chatter landline services.
Option 3: For just a total of £29.00 per month (£24 for your media and £5 for O2 sim) on a new 24-month contract, you’ll enjoy 362Mbps along with landline services.
Option 4: For just £24 per month on a 24-month contract, you’ll receive 362Mbps internet and Anytime chatter landline services.
Option 5: For just £21 per month on a 24-month contract, you’ll receive 264Mbps internet services.
When each deal was offered, I didn't accept and the agent then offered the next deal. I didn't accept any of them so given 30 day notice and wait for retentions to contact. If not, there is an renewal offer for me in the VM app of 250MB BB (Volt 125MB boosted) for £20 - increasing to £24 in April 2027 and £63 in April 2028.I saw on MoneySupermarket that VM are offering new customers 516MB (M500 BB) on 24 month contract, up to £250 switching credit and no price rise up to 2027.

I was pleased with this

I'd be happy with that price just for the broadband, is that via a phone call or a webchat?

Have you had a bill since then and is it as expected, terminating 30 days from when you contacted them?
This happened to us and it transpired the agent hadn't put the account on notice. Virgin aren't going to contact anyone they don't know intends to leave.

Good afternoon, our 18m deal with Virgin comes to an end on 4th May, we are currently paying £46.28 (was 39.99 when we moved over to them) this is due to increase to £118.28. Do I have to wait until exactly 30 days which would be the end of next week before getting in touch to try to negotiate a deal to stay hopefully including Netflix or can I contact them now? I have read lots of postings and am not sure if I have to try chat first or whether I should just ring on 150 (I have also seen postings where you have called 02030 743 6970 is this number only when you have no joy with chat / 150?
I have only ever negotiated with Sky in the past so am not sure which should be my first point of contact. Thank you so much.0
