well i phoned again not the usual renewal number as that just goes to the message were not open today please call back tomorrow so assume that number is now either dead or has been redeployed.

Had to phone the Virgin normal CS number which passed me to renewal again overseas agent which i do find difficult to understand probably my hearing in my advanced years.

    The offers were interesting

52 for 1GB BB Mixit TV
48 for  500MB BB Mixit TV
48 for 1GB BB  Mega TV
    42 for 500MB    Mega TV
    39 for 1GB BB only
    33 for 500MB  only

was tempted by the 48 Package but i've kinda already decided to get BB only

I do have a sneaking suspicion that the CS got his numbers wrong regarding Mega TV as i understand that includes all sky sports and cinema doesn't it ?

another interesting note this was all on a 24 month contract so they must be doing them early as i thought those started on the 1 june

thanks for the link so bascially what i have now exlcluding tnt sports which i'm currently paying in total 58 quid which is a nice ish discount

Looking to just have BB though if i can get it at less then 30 quid hmmm

    well final update

This time around the discounts were not as good as before and the Virgin CS were alot worse

    The offers i got were

    48pounds 1gb + megatv
    42pounds 500mb + megatv

but then the CS found out she could use her personal discount on packages i'm surprised that she was suprised though lol

    she offered me

    38pounds for 1gb and megatv
    28 pounds for 1gb only

I decided on the 1gb only we don't watch much tv and the box only records 1 thing per day lol

    so 28 pounds for 1gb

i'm quite happy with that i did try to get mixit on it but that would have pushed the price to beyond 50 quid which is silly i do have a 14 day cooling off period in case i have a change of mind but i don't think i will.

I have seen others mention getting 1GB BB for close to 20 pounds so its more than that but i think you have to get the right CS to get that and i didn't.

Was a painful renewal this time round i'm glad its over

    edit

Just looked at my previous contract in 2023

it was for 350mb and mixit for 31 pounds

i did upgrade to megatv and 1gb though later in the year.

My deal comes to an end in August and my renewal offer in app looks pretty tasty, £29.92 to carry on with 125mb bb (volted to 250mb) and mega tv. Nearest new customer equivalent is £34 but that's for 362mb. I probably should get rid of tv as I rarely watch it and even when I do its normally BBC but it's such a low cost
. I can't deny its a great price , but I'd like a new hub 5 and possibly a speed boost, is it worth haggling or should I just grab that one with both hands?

I'd grab it, those offers sometimes change on a daily basis.

Got offered the following, 1GB BB, 3 boxes (360), sky sports UHD + UHD movies, Netflix premium, TNT sports, Landline for £110. I don't think this is a good deal bearing in mind I got the same deal for £68ish 2 yrs back.

Keep an eye on those renewal offers on your accounts. I just got one two months prior to the end of my contract giving me exactly the same as I have at the moment for £4 cheaper per month.

    350 Mb BB
    WiFi Max with WiFi pods
    Mega TV (2 x boxes)
    Phone -weekend chatter
    18 month contract

Just short of £43 per month, rising by £3.50 in April. Pretty good deal from what I can see, so I happily accepted.

The offers did vary from day to day, the highest being £48 per month, when I got the £43 offer I just took it, couldn't see it going any lower than that and it's a price I'm happy with.

Renewal £79  .  Offered on app  £49.  Was 250mb BB with Volt. Mixit tv. Weekend chatter.  Retentions  quoted BB alone £29.
    The above package £30.
    Lost volt so now 125mb
Anyway I accepted but wondering if I should have fought harder.

Got 250mb BB (Volt) for £20 with a new Hub 5 Router being sent out. I requested this as part of the deal as my current Hub 3 Router was ok, but I wanted the latest Tech, seeing as it’s now a 24 Month Contract.

The Call was straight forward, and the guy was English, and a pretty cool guy, which made it so much easier.

Was originally paying £19 for the same that had risen to £22.22 in the April price rise.

I got the below for £47 pm after I called retentions:

    250 mbps BB
    Mixit TV
    Asian Mela add on
    Phone - Anytime chatter

Is the above a good deal or shall I push for a better deal? This was provided by the inbound retention team after they mentioned thet best they could do was £53.

    Thanks
