    Hi

I agreed yesterday to a another 18 months contract it's Volt M250 Broadband with telephone for £22 a month. Also agreed with o2 sim 4gb £5 a month. This was done with a online chat.

I was offered the package for £41 and asked to put me through cancellation procedure and next agent offered me this.

Second operator originally offered £27 plus £5 for sim. When I refused I was offered £22 plus £5 sim.

I needed a sim contract anyway so worked out well for me.

Previously I was paying £25.72 a month and when contract expires next month would have been over £51.

    Hopes this helps

Any view on what a decent price would be when outbound call for 250BB, weekend calls, mega tv + sky sports SD + tnt sports? Was quoted £94 as best offer (double current price) when got put through to cancellations on the phone so have now given my 30 days cancellation notice.

Also does anyone know if outbound only call on weekdays or on weekends too?

All Virgin gave me was a box to return my equipment after I called to get a renewal deal and told them my area now had fibre broadband and it was £30 cheaper than what they were offering me.

I've noticed a few Openreach OR->  chalked signs on the pavement where I stay.

They must be losing a lot of customers in areas that can now get FTTP broadband.

Wasn't getting great retention offers so gave 30 days notice, they said they would send boxes to return equipment etc. Starting getting calls from their retentions team but kept missing them. Eventually called back and was offered M250 (VOLT) for £20 p/m. I complained about my wifi signal (I already have 3 pods) and they also offered to upgrade my hub for free.

Spent an hour on the phone haggling today. Current package is 1GB Internet(1.2 in reality), Full TV including sports adn Cinema, 2 boxes, anytime talk and Netflix. Going up from £81 to £144. Got them down to £88, refused that, got through to retentions and they dropped to 500mb broadband with everything else the same for £82. Told them I could get similar from a competitor for £61 and have ordered from Sky. Now we wait and see if they come back with a better offer before the switch happens

Have you really got the same package from Sky for £61?

Was on Maxit with TNT sport with 1Gb BB at 57 pounds

Looking to lower tv to Mixit with 1GB BB or 500MB as i don't really watch it much TV now but i still want the recordable box.

I phoned the number ending 6972 got three offers

one for the same package without TNT for 55 pounds
second one was 43 pounds for 1GB and Mixit
third one was for 37 pounds for 500MB and Mixit

said i would consider them but as i can get Vodafone for 31 pounds for 910mb speed with a 60-80 pound giftcard i'm wondering will they attempt to even compete

What would people suggest is a good price for Mixit and 1GB BB or 500MB BB ?

I was hoping it would be around the 30 pound mark.

    thanks
