They can do 1GB for £20 a month if the agent you get is happy to do it1

Also does anyone know if outbound only call on weekdays or on weekends too?0 -

I've noticed a few Openreach OR-> chalked signs on the pavement where I stay.
They must be losing a lot of customers in areas that can now get FTTP broadband.0 -

Going up from £81 to £144. Got them down to £88, refused that, got through to retentions and they dropped to 500mb broadband with everything else the same for £82. Told them I could get similar from a competitor for £61 and have ordered from Sky. Now we wait and see if they come back with a better offer before the switch happens
Yes, can't remember the exact details of it now. Ended up reducing my Virgin package to one box instead of 2, got rid of sport and all day landline calls, went to weekends only for the calls. Netflix no longer an option so I threw another fit with them and they gave me additional credit to but Netflix myself. Still have 1BG broadband, all in £52.50 so I was happy enough at thatNorn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0 -
Put my cancellation in a week ago, not heard from them at all. Don’t mind cancelling to be honest, may end just keeping the broadband, we will see0

Not heard anything from them in 10 days when the prior 10 days it was daily
I've just tried to phone the number ending 92 multiple times and got a message they can't take the call right now
hmmm
I know they changing contracts to 24 months from 18 months on the 1st june so i wonder if they aren't upgrading people until the 1st.
Has anyone got through to the number or had a call from Virgin in the past week and been able to renew ?
update
finally got through to that number and it was an overseas op very difficult to understand i said the usual missed call then she went on script until i said i'd already cancelled but what offers do you have and she said oh in that case thanks for taking my call goodbye lol
i wonder if that number still takes us to renewals0 -
It's that time again. I've got 3 boxes, 1 GB BB, unlimited landline calls, UHD sky sports, TNT sports, sky movies and cinema and netflix premium. Went to retentions and was given 110 renewal. 42% increase. Got a call back and was offered same deal. I have until 20th June to decide what to do. Anyone been offered anything similar for £80 ISH? I have two 02 contract holders that don't form part of my existing deal but I get volt benefits applied.0

If that's correct then tell them to cancel the TV and that you'll ask your new supplier to switch the BB over. Do the volt benefits actually get used? If not then it's of no consequence.
That will definitely generate better offers.0 -
well i phoned again not the usual renewal number as that just goes to the message were not open today please call back tomorrow so assume that number is now either dead or has been redeployed.
Had to phone the Virgin normal CS number which passed me to renewal again overseas agent which i do find difficult to understand probably my hearing in my advanced years.
The offers were interesting
52 for 1GB BB Mixit TV
48 for 500MB BB Mixit TV
48 for 1GB BB Mega TV
42 for 500MB Mega TV
39 for 1GB BB only
33 for 500MB only
was tempted by the 48 Package but i've kinda already decided to get BB only
I do have a sneaking suspicion that the CS got his numbers wrong regarding Mega TV as i understand that includes all sky sports and cinema doesn't it ?
another interesting note this was all on a 24 month contract so they must be doing them early as i thought those started on the 1 june
