Currently on 350mb (Volt) but not on o2 now and contract up in July. Got offered £28 per month for 200mb and £34 for 350 by retentions after almost an hour of waiting and speaking to 2 people.
Decided to cancel though and see if I get offered anything better. They're offering £32 for 350 to new customers plus £95 amazon voucher so want them to match something similar. Has anyone been offered anything similar?
Can I sign up as a new customer using wife's name?0 -
I am currently paying £34 a month for Mixit TV, 200mb internet, weekend landline and 15gb sim, my discounts are due to end on the 3rd of August, so I will put my notice in on the 3rd of July, any tips or deals similar to mine please and thanks?0

Contract is up in a few days so spoke to Cancellations as my package was due to increase to £98 from £71. Cancellations offered me the same package but for £75.
Declined offer from Cancellations and told them to disconnect me. I was then immediately put through to Retention Team.Offered the Ultimate Volt Bundle for £94. I advised that new customers can get the package for £85, with a £200 credit making it £73.89 effectively per month.I declined and requested a price match. I was offered the same package but for £84.I declined and was offered the Ultimate Volt Bundle but rather than O2 Unlimited Sim given an O2 10GB Sim instead for the total price of £74.Ultimate Volt Bundle:
Gig1 Fibre Broadband,
230+ channels with Entertainment,
Anytime calls,
Virgin TV 360 Box
Netflix Standard +
O2 sim (10GB)£64 per month Virgin Media
£10 per month O2
18 Month Contract
No set up fees / costs for engineer

i currently have Mix tv , M100 broadband and phone (which i don't use)
Last year i got the price down to £55 ... that was after talking to retentions.
My contract is nearly up and my price will rise to £68
My neighbour has just switched to Sky . 35mb broadband , TV + netflix £39
He told me it works like a dream, considering the drop in speed and he's quite a heavy user.
So i decided to move myself.
I rang Virgin earlier, to cancel. got through to a call centre, up north somewhere, going by their accents.
spoke to some really nice people. discussing Sky deals , Virgin deals for new customers etc
first guy couldn't get below £55 a month. told him, you need to get closer to Sky , i`ll join sky as a new customer ,then in 18 months return to Virgin as a new customer . its a win win .
Second guy had slightly more room to manoeuvre. started at £51 ..... i wouldn't budge. £50 is my maximum.
Came straight back with , how about £46 ??
put your hand out, its a deal.
i have to say, i was on the phone for about 90 mins, laughing and joking and talking about life in general.
They've got a job to do and make money and its my job to save money. it was quite fun, to be honest.
Can't wait to do it again in 18 months
