    Hi, sorry, not looking to be switched off, asking when I am likely to get the new contract offer for when this one expires.
    Your discount ends at the end of 12 months, after which if you do nothing your price will shoot up to the standard tariff (double check - your contract normally tells you the date your promotional credits end and the standard price is normally eye watering due to how they do their bills) and it is then a rolling 30 day contract. 

    30 days before the end of your 12 month contract you need to phone up to cancel to avoid dropping into the higher price - the inbound team rarely have any decent offers. Outbound retentions team will likely call you with a better offer.

    Is this decent?
    A tad expensive for that money they should give you 500 broadband, extra box, kids pack and anytime calls

    Do Virgin always call you to offer a better deal after you put your cancellation request through?

    i rang them yesterday to cancel my contract, they then said “we’ll make you one final offer”. The offer they made is still more than I can afford to / want to pay so I’ve gone ahead with my cancellation. So will Virgin still contact me to make me another offer to keep hold of me, or have I really had my final offer?

    Yeah, they will call within the 30 days.
    Also noticed from now on all virgin contracts are 18 months, not 12 months as they were previously.

    I don’t think they always call. For me, they didn’t call last time around and I’ve been waiting about a week for them to call this time round.

    I got a call and accepted their new offer. The guy on the phone said that soon contracts will be going to 18 months although he was offering 12 months. When I got the contract it stated 12 month contract and 18 months for the deal.
