£37 for 100mb broadband/ line rental and calls for 6 moths then goes upto £40 per month for 6 months.
or £28 for 100mb broadband only
or £23 for 50mb.
I am currently paying £24pm (very good offer for past two years). Am I likely to get anything better than whats been offered above?
As my contract finishes on Sat, can I extend it for a shorter period rather then be tied in for 12 months? Thanks
You could phone and ask for a callback from outbound? If they don't call back, is there someone else in your house who could sign up as a new customer? Use TopCashback or Quidco too.0 -
Asked earlier if outbound retentions could call me was told they can’t request them to call me and I couldn’t be put through.
Don’t think husband signing up is an option as need to keep current email address.Jan Grocery challenge
Budget £350 - Spent £64.45 to date0 -
I've just renewed....Full house tv with 100Mg...was paying £50 as a new customer, renewal is £55 including the £4 increase so I'm happy with that.
Probably could have pushed them a bit harder but I think it's a fair price and I had no intention of leaving0 -

Sorry, I am a little confused - you were paying £50, but are now paying £55 including the price rise . Have you secured a discount or have you just left it running/accepted the rise? You could probably have hit it for less by cancelling. The default price seems to be £45 for Full House including 200 mb. The approach that seems to work is cancel, await a call back and then if nothing even cheaper is offered/suitable, people have reported getting a text/email offering the £45 deal. The link sent is https://www.virginmedia.com/staywithus. Obviously we are now beyond the 31/10 so it will depend on your circumstances if you could still negotiate cheaper (or indeed if you wanted to - your price is still cheaper than the rrp so as long as you are happy then that is the main thing :A).0 -

No such thing as a 'default' price, for new customers Full House plus 200Mb is £57 rising to £79 at end of term.
It's only important that they're happy with that. I dare say they'd get bumped up to 200Mb if they asked but if they get a solid 100Mb and it's plenty for their needs then there's no point.0 -

What I meant was the price many people have mentioned securing recently - they even have a webpage set up with this deal, which suggests it isn't isolated as a retention deal.0 -
I cancelled yesterday (xl tv, 100 bb and phone with anytime calls £76) and was asked if I wanted to keep the phone number when I moved providers. I said yes and she said the phone line would remain "active". Date for disconnection given as 30 November which is handy as my billing in advance is 1 to 30 November. with this to be taken by direct debit on 12 November. So this evening I see an email saying I'm on a new contract for phone at £27 per month and I will be billed £76 on 24 November plus a further £122.26 on 24 December. I'm out of contract and was cancelling within the time frame anyway for the price rise. I know you can't tell me what on earth these charges relate to and I'll telephone tomorrow morning, but is this normal practice?0

I'm just about to snap and cancel our existing 172Mbps Virgin broadband, given the successive price rises. Obviously I'd like a retention deal, but if not it would mean going to non-FTTC ADSL, which would be a big step down. But it might be worth it for a bit, especially if I could pick up a new customer deal in a few months.
Virgin's new customer prices seem to be all smoke and mirrors - I heard they show you different prices depending on whether you're coming from a Virgin connection or not. And, of course, what deals are on at a given time, cashbacks, etc.
So, if I'm not in a hurry and wait for a good offer, what kind of ballpark deal should I expect for a new Virgin connection, let's say about 100Mbps, no TV, no phone? And how long do you have to wait to become a 'new' customer again?0 -
I pay £32pm for vivid 200.0

Was paying £51.49 for the player bundle (100mb internet / player TV / Weekend calls) which was my fault as I let it lapse for a few months (did get the £32 welcome offer which ended in July).
Called today to expect the runaround with every intention of cancelling and waiting for a call back. Was offered the same package but new 12 month contract, but first 6 months @ £31.49 and a further 12 months @ £34.49, so averaging £33.49 for 18 months.
Even the Virgin Rep seemed surprised by it! Safe to say I took that deal with open arms0
