We are sitting in the caravan all of a tremble (my oldest dog is literally quaking and drooling in fear) with the most almighty thunderstorm raging overhead. Rain like stair-rods and dark here too. There's a huge puddle forming by the side of the house as the drains are full of silt from the flood back in December, so there is nowhere for it to go...except into the house, maybe :( Nice to see British summer has returned to usual.

Afternoon all. I got wet too, decided to walk the dogs when the sun shone for the first time all day, but it rained heavily almost as soon as we got out. OldDog was ok, her stroller has a cover, but LittleyDog was not impressed.

I did the bedroom flying this morning.

    Catch you all tomorrow.

Oh dizzy I hope it's stopped. It has here. Just rained the whole way home then stopped minutes later. You couldn't make it up, really :o

Plumber has been - very reasonable quote so radiator ordered and I've to call him when it arrives :T he's also booking his partner (decorator) to do my LR in August - woot! Need to choose some wallpaper.

Spending my redundancy money before I've even received it ;) but my house will be glorious by the time I start my studies in September...

Dizzy hope the rain stopped and I hope British summer time returns to give us all a chance to dry out.
Just back in from work, made a couple of phone calls and now going to prep food.

lovely and sunny here though OH thinks 'put the washing out' means taking the basket full outside and abandoning it.

OMG!!! Thunder, lightning, hailstones AND rain. Flash flooding over the road and down our driveway. I can't get out to see if it's gone into the house and I'm bawling my eyes out. I HATE WALES.

Oh Dizzy no, no, no. After you were so excited earlier in the week. Sending you big squishy hugs and stay dry vibes.

Not a drop of rain here. I would be making funny comments if it wasnt so awful for Dizzy.

9 hours paid stuff, just got finished. Jim jams on and then I need to find something to switch my brain off from thinking about numbers.

Yikes I hope it stays away Dizzy
I got the washing in just as it started to rain - not quite dry but better be safe I thought. Sun came out and no sign of rain since, huh.

Finished my last uni report:j just need to check it and put the electronic signature on, then zap it goes.
Wrote shopping list for tomorrow, and meal plan for w/e visitors.
    tomorrow:
    - lesson with student am
    - lunch with one of the other assessors. We're calling it a working lunch on the grounds that I have 2 new tests which she doesn't have, so it will count as professional development. The fact that we are meeting in a garden centre cafe is irrelevant.
    - Mr T on the way home.
    - Start a chilli, make a cake.
    - check round house to see what needs cleaning/tidying.
Food won't be too complicated - cake when they arrive around 5pm Fri; chilli when other friends join us. Cereal/fruit/toast for breakfast on Sat then all day at London Open Squares, so lunch and likely dinner out. If not, will be the T0by Carvery next to the station on the way home. Sun cooked breakfast. Simples.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.
