[STRIKE]Finished my last uni report:j just need to check it and put the electronic signature on, then zap it goes.[/STRIKE] all finished and gone
Wrote shopping list for tomorrow, and meal plan for w/e visitors.
tomorrow:
- [STRIKE]lesson with student am[/STRIKE]Got off to a slow start as she didn't have her laptop - her 9 yr old son had hidden it in retaliation for her locking away his X box which he spent too long on.....something tells me he isn't going to get it back anytime soon
- [STRIKE]lunch with one of the other assessors. We're calling it a working lunch on the grounds that I have 2 new tests which she doesn't have, so it will count as professional development. The fact that we are meeting in a garden centre cafe is irrelevant.[/STRIKE]Yum to a gluten free quiche I can actually eat. We managed to get a lot of ideas exchanged and new tests looked at. And no plants bought
- [STRIKE]Mr T on the way home.[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Start a chilli, make a cake.[/STRIKE]
-[STRIKE] check round house to see what needs cleaning/tidying[/STRIKE] Mr N sorted out the lounge including laying the table for tomorrow night's dinner
Watered greenhouse.
Tomorrow:
final check of bedroom and bathroom for guests
do church flowers
Put away various piles of paper round the house
sweep and mop kitchen floor
doubtless the bird feeders will need filling.
Do as much as I can to make the front garden look inviting.
Do a load of washing as I have a favourite shirt at the moment I want to wear tomorrow eve/Sat.
Dreadful news about that lady MP. Can't imagine how anyone could do that to another human being.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning all. Lets hope the news today is less dramatic and disgusting.
This morning I will be doing ironing before the paid stuff.
Here's hoping everyone has a great day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Good Morning all,
I couldn't sleep at all last night so managed to get a lot of flying done in the wee small hours. I have currently got the WM on its millionth load, I have cleaned the kitchen and also dealt with some personal admin so got a pile of post ready to go.
Hugs all round to those in need, esp Piggers and Dizzy xx
Our village is still largely closed off so we will be staying close to home today. Wine and something for dinner.
Have lovely days all xxMFW

Morning all
I'm fighting to keep my eyes open today. DD got soaked to the skin in the rain here last night despite having her waterproof on. Unfortunately all her school books in her bag also got soaked. I had to wash her uniform, lay out revision booklets she needed for todays exam (she had one yesterday as well) as individual sheets to dry out over every flat surface, pegged individual sheets of paper that were loose from her exercise books to the maiden to dry, and then spent 4 hours drying her 5 exercise books out using the iron and flannels so the pages didn't stick together. I had her coat hanging from a tension rod across the back door trying to dry it, trainers right in front of the vents of the TD where I was drying the laundry I put on so make up loads so I could wash the uniform, the maiden which also had her school bag and blazer hanging on it right in front of the drier. Last night you could not move for laundry and school stuff drying out. Thats now 3 night on the run I've not been in bed until gone 2am due to something to do with DD. Thank goodness ex is coming on Sunday instead of tomorrow so we can have a lie in in the morning.
Todays plan is to get as much of the lists complete as possible. We're actually supposed to have a dry day here so I'm going to get washing done and out on the line. This morning I'm hoping to get all the bills paid and finances updated so I know where I'm working, get a couple of emails sent, then crack on with the housework. DD is supposed to be finishing early today due to the exam (Exam finishes at around 2.30 apparently so they said the kids can leave once everything is collected in etc since they normally finish at 3.05) and I've said if we can get the jobs done today then we can sit and watch back to back episodes of X-Files and Bones tomorrow.

I'm off to hang washing out that been on the maiden all night. They're taking up almost all the room in the kitchen,. Then I can get the dog toys in the wash. They'll take longer to dry than his fleece blankets. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
We must be almost neighbours, ATB! That poor woman's family will be waking to a vastly different world today
My new radiator is coming this morning. Very quick - I'm sure I only ordered it on Wed night... I've also booked the electrician and been online to check my final payslip / severance paperwork. All seems present and correct.

Big hugs to Pigpen. Is your midwife still visiting. Can you talk to her?
I sympathise 're family. Mine were collectively useless. OH's dad and brother came up for the Christmas just after DD2 was born. Did they entertain the two older kids? Sadly no. A friend spotted me taking the older two to a local shop. It was easier than staying in. I cooked Christmas dinner for everyone by shutting myself in the kitchen with a bottle of port so frustrated was I.
Another day on the sofa for me. Good thing I like football.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

They aren't coming until Thursday.. not that they can do anything anyway.. I think I might just be a bit traumatised and struggling with decisions made that had to be made which I need time to deal with on my own.. My head took over some of the decision making and my heart always struggles with those decisions.. but I will survive I know I will.
I just got my bounty pics through.. some are absolutely gorgeous.. I need a frame for this one.. it is beautiful. Just got sidetracked watching a family of baby - well I think they were either greenfinches or goldfinches as they had yellow on the tail. Adult goldfinches are very distinctive but these were so fluffed up it was hard to tell. Tried to get a photo but they are a bit flitting about. Will have lunch in conservatory now with camera at hand.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
