Very well done to Squeak :T:T:T Did she get a certificate or a sticker? Can we see a photo of her? Lovely pic of Mini-Munchkin, pigpen :DEnjoy your outing, but don't try to do too much too soon, and I hope you don't end up with more puke down your cleavage in public

Happy Retirement to Mr N

We have had an eventful day. This morning DH went to shave and called, "Can you come and look at my face." Droopy on the right side :eek::eek: We know that he has had TIAs in the past, and nothing else seemed to be affected, apart from the tremor in his left hand being somewhat more obvious than usual, but I made him ring the GP at 8.00 and he was given an appointment at 9.20. The Dr said that it could be a palsy but was more likely to be a TIA because it was already getting better by the time we saw him; there is no further treatment because he's already on the best medication; however, the Dr has told DH that he is not to drive for a month.

And I am having a bunion op on 30th and will be stuck at home for at least 4 - 6 weeks :eek::eek: I am grateful that we can afford a taxi if necessary, but for the next 10 days I shall have to ferry DH to his vol job and clubs. I shall feel like a mum of a teenager again  Hey ho.

Anyway, we had arranged to meet up with friends from Hampshire at the Three Counties Show in Malvern today. We arrived only 40 minutes late, which was good going. We've had a lovely day and enjoyed lots of different displays. The forecast had been for heavy rain this afternoon, but the clouds stayed away until we started walking back to the car - then we got just a bit wet :rotfl:

This evening I have cooked 2 chickens, 30 sausages and a coffee cake for my son's party tomorrow. The chickens and 3 of the sausages are SW friendly, but the cake is definitely synful :D

    Not much flying atm :p

    Morning all.

My my Ionafan, you always seem to have so much going on and do so much for other people.

    Today for me:
Book car in for new tyre (that will see about £200 go)
Breakfast (DH says I am not eating properly)
    Get dressed
    Make bed
    Walk dogs
    Hoover/sweep/mop through house
Some gardening (but still too wet to cut grass)
Make sandwiches for function which will take up my afternoon

    Have a great day everyone.

Unbelievable! DD had a cracked windscreen replaced on 31st May and now has a cracked windscreen! Waiting for a call back. There is, however, a possible chip that's caused it. In almost 40 years of driving I have never had a chip, much less a crack!
Quiet weekend at home planned to catch up with housework as well as some work admin. Ironed lots last night but there's still lots to do, I have been washing and tumble drying all week so at least kept up with that.
Hope you're all well, hugs to those who need them! Sorry I can't remember everyone but Dizzy seems to be suffering, and hope Mr Ionafan has no more TIAs
Oh! Kitty behaviour suggests we have a mouse in the house. Again! I wish she'd stop 'putting them down' and just 'put them away'!

    Me again to update myself:
Book car in for new tyre (that will see about £200 go) - booked in for Monday
Breakfast (DH says I am not eating properly) - Had toast, now eating peanut chocolates
    Get dressed - done
    Make bed - done
Walk dogs - will do that next
    Hoover/sweep/mop through house - done
Some gardening (but still too wet to cut grass) - still to do
Make sandwiches for function which will take up my afternoon - still to do

And I've put the covers back on the dog beds and got the second of two washloads in the machine. Have also been trying to clear hotspots as I've gone around.

    Oh my word!!

My sons name has been put forward to replace the murdered MP... he won't get the position but he has been nominated by a couple of the 'higher ups' from this area.. He doesn't even want it because he is still reeling the same as everyone else who knew her.. he is very honoured they think he is suitable.. I dread to think how much dirt they would dig up to discredit him lmao... tbh, it would be an ideal position for him.. he can't do as he is told but is very outspoken and has views he shared with the late MP.. The air in Westminster would however, be blue! lol ..

cuppa.. lunch.. bathing of small pinks.. and then out

Lakeland delivery at some point today.. new oven trays <3 .. and a cover to keep the cats off the heated airer.. Pi is breaking it with his big fat body!.. and 3 Frozen storage boxes I am going to fill with bits for birthdays.. or christmas. such is the excitement of my shopping.

Afternoon all! Wow Pigpen I'd love to see your son shock 'em at Westminster!

OH has gone to cricket - a short match today so no tea required.

DD2 will be over later to wash my hair and keep me resting...

Hope everyone has a good day.

And Pigpen - don't do too much!

    Afternoon All,

Another poor night's sleep here so functioning on go slow today. I have however cleaned out the DW (it was gross), washed our bedding and earmarked a load of DS clothes for a chazza run. And fed DH and the tiddlers constantly of course.

DH has had to nip to work but should be back soon. I really want a nap this afternoon, let's see if that happens!

The heavy police presence in the village has lessened and there are no helicopters overhead today.

Dizzy - I hope the rain has eased for you.
Piggers - hope little munchkin had a reasonable night's sleep for you and you feel more rested. Your online shopping sounds as fun as mine - I've just ordered scented drawer liners from Laura Ashley!
CY - Hope you are still enjoying the football whilst resting - do you like tennis? I have been glued to Queens and can't wait for Wimbledon.

Going to feed myself now, have lovely afternoons all xx

Hugs to all who need them and it sounds like most
Iona hope Dh is recovering well and everything returns to normal
Pigpen difficult decision for your DS to make given the circumstances and the high regard he and everyone else had for jo cox. But sadly fact is that the position will need to be filled and who better that someone who liked and admired her with a very similar set of values and principles. Thinking of you all and hope he gets good support what in ever way he decides.

Shopping done, visited dd1, and been over my dads, Dh is now training while I put the shopping away and get food sorted.
