Hi,
I hope you don't mind me joining you. I've done flylady in the past so just need to remind myself of the basics.
I'm desperate to get organised, in all areas of my life! Can you recommend any other threads here I should check out?
Thanks0 -
I would like to sincerely thank the Flylady who lost her GUAG because I have it and am putting it to good use, so mush so that, though I read the thread last night I was too pooped t post lol
Anyhoo the 'bubbling about at the bottom of my thoughts' idea to get rid of the dated units in my DR has come to fruition, aided by the fact that they are perfect for mice to hide under. One has gone, it's outside waiting to be reduced in size, and stuff has been thrown, taken to chazzer (6 bags!) on the grounds I was storing it just because I had space - bye bye trivial pursuit! (No one would play with me anyway) and bye bye backgammon bought from chazzer and never played with! Or put away. Dining room has, in effect, bee n Spring cleaned. Emptied DW, done 3 wash loads which are on the line, ironed a maidenful of ironin, put stuff in work bag to be returned/used at work. I have cleaned kitchen. Next job bathroom then I shall take my Father's Day card.
Wow Piggers how lovely for your DS. I have to go out for a couple of hours yesterday so DD can make dinner - or at least get the leg of lamb in! Was reduced to £1.51 on mr t a while back and eating it will mean more freezer spaceDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Wow Valli, well done you.
Welcome FannyAdams. You're in good company on here, lots of support with the daily 'must be done's'. I think some others follow some of the Kondo-ing threads. That's too advanced for me.
So the grass is finally cut back and front and the rest of the street too. Everyone has been out this morning doing theirs.
I'm out for the afternoon with DD and her fiance so don't expect to do much more flying now. Its enjoy Sunday time.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Quiet day here. DS is at work. Kids gathering here later to celebrate Fathers Day. Also some wedding planning to sort.
Have a good day folks.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Afternoon
Since DD has been glued to her phone almost 24/7 for the past few months and at one point sent/received over 370 text in ONE DAY (which was the last straw), ex and I agreed as of nearly two weeks ago the phone is confiscated until the end of term except for school or if she leaves the house on an errand. The strops, huffing & puffing, late nights, not sleeping, running late for school, not doing chores have all more or less stoppedIn fact she's almost read the whole harry potter series from scratch, watched all the films, watched season 1 of bones, has kept up with her homework & revision (she actually came in bouncing with happiness after a maths exam as she was so confident about how she'd done!) and has also been doing all her chores and more! Its like having a different child!
Just goes to prove that stepping back from technology can have a marked improvement. Now I just need to start doing it more often
I've just added my main email account to my laptop so I can now send emails from my preferred email address. I've only had the latptop about 5 years :rotfl:
DD has been a star this weekend and done loads of flying while I've been dealing with more time consuming jobs. So I'm going to update the list to see whats left to do based on what I know she's done.
Personal:
Write & address all the cards we bought the other day - Fathers day ones done, Just birthday and anniversary ones to do.

Goodness me Valli you have achieved an awful lot today, well done you!
After my earlier bursts of energy I am now truly shattered. We have put a film on and very little else will be done today.
Bossy - that is very kind of you, thank you so much xx
Right, I am going to put a hoody on (it's come chilly here) and sit on the sofa. Have lovely evenings all xxMFW
