She's already said she's not intending to get a landline as she has her mobile. She will use the line for internet only.
They tried to deliver her Sky Hub yesterday but she wasn't in and is busy until Monday when she'll go collect and then hopefully have someone to help set it up.
This looks positive on the sky billing page of her account. Once this is all properly sorted I can hand over control of the account to her fully whislt being there when she needs me to be.
If that is right, she'll have nothing to pay until November 1st and that will be 65p? But it says they've charged her 17 Jun-16 Jul with total due on 1st July so maybe some changes still to be made...

Not sure how you got those figures, I think it depends on exchange.
They took £25 on my card which they credited to my account along with £50 for this promotion (So £75), they charged my account with £20 activation and £6.95 delivery. So leaves £48.05
Monthly payment is £8.70 (half price line rental) which is enough for 5 months (£43.50) leaving £4.55 so £4.15 to pay in month 6 then 6 months at £8.70 is £52.20 plus the £4.15 means if you pay £56.35 the account is all paid up.
I do not know what that "Total due 1 Jul - £39.35" isThanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Sorry to those who have been messed around by Sky. They should have honoured it up until 11.59pm last night just like they stated in the promotion. Poor show from them.
I think their servers got hammered from 10pm as people tried to beat deadlineThanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Also a waste of time time for me too. Got the code, started the process then a pop-up message appeared saying the offer is not available at my location. An alternative fibre broadband package was automatically put in my basket at a considerably higher cost per month. NO THANKS!
That will be an issue with your exchange, check Samknows to see what you have Market 1 etc
It basically means Sky, Virgin and TalkTalk are not allowed kit in your exchange so they have to use BT, obviously BT will not honour this deal so they offer you something on Fibre, how much was it?Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

No doubt calls from Sky will commence now they have my number. This had a e-mail from Sky saying "Can we help, we noticed you didn't complete your order". This this mean they will still give me the MSE offer? I think not.
Pished off.
I have heard them honour deal when it was clear you were trying to process and problem was with their servers, took me 3 goes but I left more time. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
I also got the message that it is not available in my area when trying to sign up.
It feels like a con to me. I am currently with TalkTalk who have no problem with me using broadband.
Use SamKnows Exchange checker and see what kit is in your exchange. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

Those are the figures on the account billing page.
- £39.35 is the credit left. It looks like the account I started for my friend is £8.70 lower than your £48.05 so it's a months payment difference.0 -

Yes my exchange is Market 1 so BT Wholesale is the sole provider.
I didn't note the exact price quoted by Sky for fibre broadband + line rental, but it was around £37 per month. This is approximately what BT quote anyway for a FTTC service. Also BT don't seem too keen on quoting for a standard broadband service!0 -
Hi i took the deal out that was posted a few weeks ago on the moneysavingexpert website and my line was switched over to sky today.
Just recieved the first bill and its for the full £17.40 line rental not the 12 months half price like stated in the offer the £50 credit is showing and the £5 card verification refunded and the 12 months free unlimited broadband.
Just curious to why the only part of the offer that has not come off is the 12 months half price line rental.
Thanks0 -
I took out this deal after I eventually managed to get it to go through.
Now this morning I have received an email saying they have cancelled my order as there is an issue with my order.
They took the £5 charge from me successfully when I placed the order and haven't tried to call me or email me and so I don't know what the issue could be.
I've emailed Sky and I am waiting to hear back as to what they say.
Has anyone else had this 'cancellation email'?0
