I just checked Eon V8 on the MSE energy saving club but no good to me I'd be £140 pa worse off and Iresa's MSE customers ratings are higher than EON (Iresa 39% great, EON 36% great).
With all respect to HENGUS, he seems very well informed.
I read from the submitted readings email, that they can take between 1 -14 days to validate the submitted reading. So why send an email asking for readings on or around the 21st of the month, with only 10 days (at most) to validate?
My guess is it takes on average less than the 14 days.
I did the BIG NAMES comparison with MSE, it came back with what I was on with IRESA with a £58 saving on Eon V8. Not great but wanted a bit of comfort.
I had tried to submit my readings at least 6 times over a few days, during the evenings. Slowly worked through the website until finally was able to submit them.
My opinion, is Iresa's server cannot cope with the volume of traffic its getting so we see the "try again later message".
Most frustration and anger comes from the lack of commination or being unable to speak to someone.0 -
My year is nearly up with Iresa, quite a lot in credit, had no problems with them until recently still the cheapest for me and was going to sign up for another 2 years, but don't answer my emails can't get my bill online just comes up Error. So maybe look for another company obviously not too concerned about keeping customers,0

When going to their site there is no choice of new or old sites, just defaults to old and no access to bills. Everything else seems OK though.
I've already got copies of all bills raised and I've taken a copy of Account charges this a.m altho' the pdf doesn't show the balance -just DDs, interest and assorted charges.
Hope the lack of access to the individual bills doesn't mean that they are going to recalculate/republish again!!0 -
Been with IRESA nearly 12 months now and had no need till now to contact them but as anticipated now I am in transfer to AVRO I can see problems.
Not sure how a company is allowed to operate in a regulated market where:
1) They don't answer the phone
2) They don't respond to messages
and now
3) You can't access the web site
Managed to take a photo of my credit balance on both Gas & Elec a couple of days ago.0 -
Does anyone have the list of tariffs for Flex 4? I'm trying to calculate how much Iresa's refusal to fix my meter has cost me in terms of paying Econ 7 rates for what is in effect day-only consumption, but the only detailed tariff sheet I can find is for Flex 5.0

I've got mine but these tariffs are regional ,so you need the rates available in your region:)0 -

You may have to look at a comparison site and put in the flex 4 tariff as your existing tariff and it should tell you what the daily charge and kwh rate is, you can then change it to check what the E7 charges were. The Cheap Energy Club, details all the info for existing tariffs.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Check your bills, recently switching to Tonik, and noticed that Iresa has charged twice for gas, 1st is from the 26th january to 31st January and 2nd 27th january to 31st january, very suspect, unlikely to get the money back as they will give some implausible excuse to keep the money.0

Unfortunately still can't get to download my bills. Hopefully this will be sorted soon as I might need them for my complaint to the ombudsman.
I know, I should have downloaded each one as it became available -but I didn't.0
