As an electric only customer (I still say gas is available cheaper elsewhere for most if not all people - well it is for me), IRESA have now provided a further statement ... as advised by an email sent by IRESA alerting me to the new statement being available
Before this latest statement, I only had a statement up to and including September, although my online account has shown transactions up to and including October plus the payment I made via DD in November.
The lastest statement purposrts to be for the period 01 Oct 2017 - 30 Nov 2017, but closer inspection shows it only charges for electricity for period 01 Oct 2017 - 31 Oct 2017, (including standing charges only for that period), but does include the payment I made via DD in November
So I now have an above average credit showing for 30 Nov, so hopefully when I will get 4% interest on this balance they indicate. :money:
All my meter readings, which I endeavour to provide on the last day of the month, are all showing on my online account (under meter readings), so presumably approved ... it just seems no one has been charged yet for their consumption in November.
Not a huge problem. All billing to date has been correct for me, and it's no big worry that up-to-date consumption from as littel as a couple of weeks ago is not yet available.
Some of us remember when we all got a bill not more frequently than once every 3 months ... and then only if we were lucky.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the hopefully 4% interest we will be earning on the credit.
Surely people only need to contact the supplier they believe there is an error in the transactions or statements already provided ... not because the statement is not fully up-to-date0 -

Hopefully not. Just hoping to portray accurately, and without emotion, what they have indicated on my latest statementgrumpycrab wrote: »...
So 4% for 1 month with £100 credit; let's see - a massive 33p Wow.
...
As Tesco would say "Every little helps"
... and in this instance it's a good 300% more than you would get from most savings account and whopping 8x the current BoE rate (and no tax to worry about either) :money:0 -
Logged in this morning to see if the November leccy usage has been accounted for yet.
Still no debit shown for the usage BUT the supplier's "estimated meter readings" for end Oct. and end November have reappeared, which suggests (to me anyway) that someone in IRESA I.T is wrestling with the monthly bill issue.
I suggest anyone who hasn't downloaded the recently issue bills already, does so immediately before they vanish or are altered in some way.0 -
Daughter's Nov use has appeared on her account but mine has not yet.0

This wag on Twitter claims to have got a £35K fine out of Iresa.

Still think its worth keeping the bill - can always delete IF they issue a more accurate/up to date bill:)
As to the Twitter "thread" - could only be Small Claims court .......and don't think they can "fine" a PLC:D0 -
They have now removed the double charging for November in the Transactions Record, but still not issued a corrected bill/statement.0

Hi
Does anyone know if there a Flex5 Dual Fuel Electricity tariff ?
My contracts were up for renewal and Iresa looked reasonably cheap again so I renewed both with them using the online login. I chose the cheapest options :
Electricity: IRESA Flex5 12month Fixed Direct Debit (ELECTRICITY)
Gas: IRESA Flex5 12month Fixed Direct Debit (Dual Fuel )
But I noticed the Electricity one doesn't say Dual Fuel - did anyone else get / have such a tariff ?
Thank you!0 -
I switched from SSE to Iresa in April 2017 using monthly direct debit. So far I've had no problems. Their website has very occasionally been down but they respond promptly to emails. I get electricity only from them. It comes through the wires, my lights are on and the price is the lowest in my area, so I'm happy.0
