Anyone here stayed with Iresa after their first year ?
If so were you contacted by them to arrange this, were you offered their present one year fix or did you have to contact them etc.
I've been with them since February this year on their fixed rate and providing their fixed rate doesn't change too drastically before February 2018 I may well stick with them.
Just wondering what the procedure is for staying with them after year one?
Thanks in advance.

They should inform you that your contract is nearing it's conclusion between 49 and 42 days before it ends.
Most companies will then tell you that they'll put you onto their Standard Variable Tariff because that's what the rules say they have to do.
They will then switch you onto their SVT if you dont ask them to do anything different.
I suggest you wait until the 42 day deadline and then contact them if you haven't heard anything - in the meantime do a few comparisons to see what's aboutNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I've just received my first bills from Iresa and they appear to have calculated the individual components of the charge correctly but included the usage twice for each fuel (VAT and standing charge have only been added once in the grand total, but the VAT is higher than it should be due to the double-counting).
For example, usage £32.23 standing charge £8.33 VAT £3.64, should be a bill total of £44.20 but they have added it up as £76.43.
I've sent a support ticket. It is worrying that there could be customers who haven't noticed this and are effectively paying double the kWh rate.
I'm still happy with Iresa at the moment.0 -
Just received my latest bill and it looks like their system has charged for gas twice in one bill e.g.
Total Consumption £ 73.57
Total VAT on Consumption and Standing Charge (5%) £ 8.28
Standing Charge for 62 days, ( 62days at 14.92p/day) £18.50
Total Cost of Energy Used £ 173.92
It should be £100.35, but it looks like they have added the total consumption twice, has anybody had this happen on their bill?
Luckily I keep a record every time I switch and take a photo of my meters for every reading, I like Iresas prices but I'm not sure about their billing system.0 -
Bill this morning. Correct balance up to date but only billed for reading at end of October, which had already been shown on balance, so account status has not changed. Reading for end of Nov shows on line but has not been billed, not even the short bill on the account page.0

My bill reflects online state (iresa call these transactions);. So gas is correct to end Nov;. Electric only goes up to end Oct. So looks like my end Nov electric reading failed validation.0

Never had a problem with them.
I Facebook message them with anything and they reply and deal with it within a few days.
No problems from me0 -

The "fix" is easy. Send them a polite (its difficult) Direct Message on twitter on Monday (I think they have been given the weekend off?) with your Customer Number and summary of the double charge and they'll "revert" it without raising a ticket (tickets go into a black hole). How billing catches up with transactions I don't know.0 -

Same here....bill actually says to November 30th but no usage included for Nov.
Have noticed that they have estimated a reading for end Nov. which hasn't been used for anything -Wonder if that was an attempt to actually bill to 30th which failed ??0
