I had a thought: a slow cooker provides a little heat and could provide a supplement to hot water from the kettle, unless your leccy's off? Do you have hot water bottles too? I've been known to run the oven and sit near it (open) when I had no other heat. Expensive though.

Thanks guys. After some googling while at work (well I say work, we had three turn up. None for the sessions I was in. One ended up staying even though he was only in until lunchtime so we went to the kitchens to make cheese pie. What a waste of a day.) I have come home and fixed it. I have managed to unfreeze to drains so the sink can now empty. Earlier this week I had to mend the washing machine. I'm not sure what I did but it's now working.

I like the snow but I'm really fed up of it now.

My whole being is craving spring.

I hope you are all ok and keeping warm.

Today is going to be a washing, tidying and sewing day. I may even dig out the car after it got snowed in again last night. It's not going out though. I have feet if I need to go.

Right ho, time to get dressed.
