Thanks, I was already on the Old Version. Did you use the WebForumAdvisors@... address listed under 'Additional Information'? If so, it seems odd that it's shown there rather than under ''Contact'.

Unless I'm missing something, there is no email address in your profile, it just says:

E.ON Company Representative: Malc has no contact information.

or did you mean a private forum message rather than an email?

Yes, that's it Stompa. As gsmlnx says, Web Forum Advisors is our email address. Sorry, but for understandable reasons, MSE don't like us posting email addresses on threads unless they give their permission. Look forward to hearing from you.

I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. Thanks for that gsmlnx. MSE aren't keen on company reps putting email addresses on the Forum for understandable reasons. Looks like Stompa has found it though so thanks again.

E.ON appears also to have been deluged with applications for its Energy Helpline Collective Fixes which, like the iChoosr fix offers, have straddled the EU Referendum on 23 June and, in consequence, suddenly (one suspects unexpectedly) became a great deal more financially attractive during the currency of the offer period to which they were committed.

An existing E.ON customer myself, I applied for the EHL 2 year E.ON collective fix on 6 July, received an immediate formal confirmation from EHL but, so far, nothing has been forthcoming from E.ON.

I called E.ON yesterday to check that all was well, nonetheless, but they seemed to be in some disarray and said they had not yet received my application.

I then called EHL where a very helpful lady checked the (EHL) reference number of my confirmation email and reported back to me that my application was sent off to E.ON on 7 July and was marked as received - but not yet opened - by E.ON the following day (8 July).

I guess we all now just have to wait until E.ON has worked its way through the two backlogs.

For existing customers, E.ON usually backdates the new fix to the date upon which one applied for it, rather than to the date upon which E.ON gets around to processing it.

Fortunately, E.ON is an efficient company (which is why I choose it as my energy supplier) so hopefully all will be sorted successfully by the end of this month.

If not, we have the ever helpful :A Malc and Helena :A to kick the necessary butt for us (another reason why I choose to keep E.ON as my supplier!). :)

Can't comment on nPower applications, though, because it's a company I avoid like ebola.

Thanks for the kind words Sosumi. We try our best.

This one's slightly different from the iChoosr as the E.ON EHL Collective Fixed 2 Year June 2016 is live until 18 July 16 and we're still taking applications. Although this shouldn't delay confirmation from us too much.

Collective tariffs like these sit outside our usual systems and are dealt with manually by a separate area of the business. As an existing E.ON customer, it usually takes about 3 working days from receiving the application before the account is updated and you're able to see it online. Could be a bit longer this time if there is a backlog. I've asked the question. As you say, the switch will be backdated to the date on the confirmation email.

As we received the email on 8 July, I'd leave it until the end of the week. Let me know if you haven't received anything by then and I'll be happy to chase it up.

    Hope this helps Sosumi.

I've just emailed with a quick update gsmlnx. For the benefit of others, there was certainly a surge of applications on the last day the offer was open. We're talking to iChoosr now to match what we have with what they've sent. We fully expect this will be sorted soon and the details of those affected loaded as per previous collectives. I'm directly in touch with the team sorting this and they'll let me know once all is through. Probably looking at the next few days or early next week. I'll keep this thread updated so all affected have the latest picture.

    Thanks for your patience.

As above Stompa. I've just emailed you with a similar reply about your switch to the E.ON iChoosr Collective Tariff. Hope it helps and thank you also for your patience.

    ,

Many thanks for your further and better particulars of how collective fixes are processed and dealt with at E.ON. It was re-assuring and very helpful information.

I'm anxious not to disrupt this iChoosr thread by introducing Energy Helpline collective fixes into it. I just wanted to re-assure those who've applied for an E.ON fix via iChoosr (and its affiliates) that a similar and simultaneous delay is occurring with the processing at E.ON of Energy Helpline collective fix applications at the moment and that it appears to have been caused by a surge in applications that arose as a result of the EU Referendum.

The plunging (or, at least, the now plunged) value of the £ is bound to result soon in substantially higher prices for fuel, boosting the attraction of collective fixes while they remain (or remained) available.

Past experience with E.ON collective fixes suggests that there is unlikely to be anything to worry about if one is just patient for a week or two until the backlog is cleared.

What you have written explains why those who call E.ON encounter regular customer service staff who cannot see their fix application on E.ON's system until it has been processed manually and entered thereon by the snowed-under specialist unit at E.ON.

So, you have dispelled the alarm of those, like I, who 'phoned E.ON and became concerned that their fix application may have disappeared into the ether on its way from the comparison site to E.ON. For that, I am most grateful to you.

As for those who've applied for iChoosr's (or anyone else's) collective fixes with nPower, I just wish them the very best of luck…

Afternoon Sosumi. Bit more information for you.

I've been talking at length to the manager looking after collective tariffs. As above, we're well on the way to sorting delays with the iChoosr tariff. The EHL ones, though, are a bit different as they're still live. At the moment, we're up to speed with these switches with the longest taking about 3-4 days to load. This could change if we have a surge towards the end of the offer on 18 July 16 as happened with the iChoosr tariff.

As you applied last week, I'd do as I suggested yesterday and let me know if you haven't received anything in the next day or so. I'll be happy to see what's happening.

You're right, too, about our Contact Centres not being able to see anything until the tariff has been fully loaded. Another feature of collectives is that we're not allowed to become involved until all is done and dusted. All sales, marketing and switching is done through the third party offering the tariff. This is another reason why we've a separate area looking after these products. It makes sure we don't unwittingly break the rules. Once loaded, though, it's business as usual and you can talk to any of our advisors about it.

    Hope this helps Sosumi.
