It is a guess which way to go.
My current electric tariff is the Sept 15 MSE Eon Collective which I cannot leave without exit fee before 6th August. However even now, all the deals available are more expensive and have been for a few months.
So do I swap to the iChoosr Eon Collective now and pay the extra £34 a year or wait for 6 weeks and look again so if nothing changes only pay £13 extra a year at Iresa?
    Who knows the correct answer?
    Nobody.
It is only a £21 gamble though so not massive if the jump to iChoosr is incorrect.

Re possible early exit fees from Eon, see post#22 above by Eon/Malc :)

Thanks but the £34 is the annual increase in fuel cost only.
I know switching between Eon tariffs does not invoke the exit fees (irrespective of the source - collective or otherwise) as I have done that twice already :-) Frightening I'm on my 3rd Eon fixed tariff in 14 months. One lasted a whole month if I recall correctly.

If I wanted the cheapest tariff on the market today (Iresa) then I would have to pay an exit fee and would be worse off over 12 months than just choosing iChoosr. (an extra £43 with Iresa due to exit fee against £34 with Eon collective). Or I wait until the exit date in August and choose the cheapest deal then (allowing for certain firms who will never get my business)

Still got 2 and a bit days to decide to stick or twist :-)

I'm currently on my 4th in 9 months, it'll probably be the 5th tomorrow!

(and having just checked, one was for just 7 days and another for 18 days)

Are you talking about a dual fuel tariff?

If so, have a look at single suppliers and you'll probably be able to save even more :)

No, single fuel as gas is elsewhere and is on the cheapest market tariff available. Already done the math on single/dual deals and know that different suppliers is the cheapest way for my usage.

Given that energy prices now look set to rise, I'm wondering if it would make sense to switch to this iChoosr tariff (despite it being slightly more expensive than my existing E.On tariff) ) purely to extend my fix for a few months. I see the offer closes at midnight on June 28th, so I'll need to make my mind up very soon.

Just to confirm Stompa, the E.ON iChoosr Fixed 1 Year Collective June 2016 ends today.

Thanks, I realise that. I've deliberately left it until the last possible day to do the switch, I suspect I'm not the only one.

Have any existing E.On customers successfully completed this switch?

I applied on June 28th, and received an email from iChoosr saying "E.ON will process your product switch within the next 10 days, and you will receive details of your new chosen product by email or post", but have heard nothing since.....
