NST June Challenge

Hi everyone
Huge apologies for being awol for most of the month. This does tend to happen to me in June as I start floundering with end of term, GCSE's and exam marking on top of the day to day stuff. My life for the past couple of weeks has literally consisted of up, work, home, exam marking, bed - and repeat. My house looks like it's been burgled it's so messy, I'm miles behind with my email and posts on here, and I can't remember the last time I cooked or ate a decent meal. As always though, it will be worthwhile when the cash comes through because it means that me and the kids can actually enjoy our 6 weeks of summer with a bit of extra cash for an ice cream and stuff.
I have loads to catch up on but thought I'd better get on and check in before I completely lose control with my finances again... Hope that everyone is doing ok.Not giving up

My school fair today and I had a table for my hm bunnies, etc. Made a little over £65 profit, and am v happy with that. Will be paying that amount off the mortgage, which makes me feel even happier! I think I have fulfilled May's challenge to make £50, just a tad late...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi All
Sorry for vanishing. This week has been tough. MIL was let out tuesday (thanks Calling) & FIL has been in and out too. So that has been one thing.
Have also had loads of stress with the business & that has tipped me over the edge a bit.
However on the positive side I am now up to £70 made ebaying this month with another £18 to come from my old handset on envirophone & son made a £5er today selling his old scooter at his school fair so nearly £100 for a lot of old tat.
July will be an easier month financially for us and I am hoping emotionally too as MIL gets on the mend.
Lovely to see you back posting Cat hows your husbands leg now? Weve had that crazy rain today Mothernerd dont think I have ever known a June like it.
I could run July if no one else is around?

ccl hope you're doing ok with all the craziness. I'm the same at the moment and I'm in awe that you manage to do all this with a family too. I only just manage and there's only me, 3 dogs and a cat! But you are right, focus on the money!
Today and yesterday were spend days. I went out for a meal with friends yesterday and today I did the food shopping. Off to bed now as need an early start for more marking tomorrow, tomorrow is day 15 of working without a day off.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi Turtles.
I've failed miserably this month and I've decided to bow out and start afresh in July. I'm ashamed as all you lovely people have far more taxing lives than I do but mine has been exhausting lately and I've neglected everything. No excuse I know.:o
I must try harder to stay in control!
Sorry to let you down folks:(
See you all soon I hope:ALiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Hi everyone. Thanks for everyone that asked about me. I am feeling a bit happier. I think the weather and a few things that have happened this month have got me down. Schools mayhem at the moment and I was expecting it to calm a little with only 4 weeks to go. I just need time to put a plan of action together. Everything is better with a plan.
Bob glad MIL is getting better and that she continues to get better. What happened with the sale of the business?
Funbrum I think we r all having a month like that. My nsd have dried up recently. Stay with us n we can limp to the finish line together.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #820 -
Bob - thank you for volunteering for July. But please do say if it will be too much, as you have a lot going on at the moment. I am happy to take it on.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
