A day off work for me today but was still fairly busy. Met my bro and SIL for coffee in the morning, bro paid for mine so kept my NSD intact - now up to 11. Then did some clearing out and packing. Can't mind if I said but we're moving flats at the start of next month so trying to get organised. Took two bags to the charity shop and then went to my friends for tea.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

Yeay! I managed my 4th NSD in a row and 4th in total this month yesterday
Spending today on Mr T delivery but have made a mess of the delivery time so wondering if they can still deliver if I am not in?
Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Good morning,
Yesterday was another NSD and hopefully today should be too, but I'm not so sure. I fancy a lazy one with unhealthy food so I Chinese is on the cards. I'll try and stay strong though and keep my spending till tomorrow.
Have a good day0 -
Good morning,
went to the shops last night. DH was great, he did the dishes and cooked dinner for us as I felt rubbish.
good news: of the fags for a week now :T and the cold is getting better.
Bad news: Brexit, devastated. Initially had planned to take British nationality next year (as I am married to a Scot and children born here) but I will now hold on to my German one and wait for the inevitable Scottish independence. Sorry, shouldn't bring politics into this.
Anyway...Tonight a mate who is a joiner will pop round and will talk front door. So hopefully get that done soon. Also might ask him for a hatch door in our bedroom wall where we cut a whole in the plasterboard two years ago to replace the water tank.
I won't be round much again over the weekend as will go to FIL's but will catch up and read.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

My colleague uses an app called Smoke Free and it tells you how much money you've saved, how much longer you've added to your life etc. And she just looks at it whenever she gets a craving. To me (a non-smoker) it seems a good idea - and it's MSE free!!!!! :money:
Good luck with quitting.0 -
Thanks, probably only saved £1.53 now as I only smoked 2 rollies a day but it's something and the last step of a long journey. So I also don't expect a big difference in health but mentally it feels good to have broken (touch wood) the habit of seeing this as a reward, and all the other associations my brain made (clinging onto the carefree fun time before kids and god knows what else). I'm not over it yet completely but will definitely see the race as my first target (6 weeks) and then we'll see.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Getting back on track 3rd SFD in a row and managed to pay off 451 pounds today will have to update my signature but my debt now stands at 4014.24 and stuck 20 pounds in my EF.
Apologies Thrifty back and raring to blossom in this challenge for the last week
Devasted about BREXIT work for a housebuilders so results could be dire for our company. Just hate all the uncertainty, beginning to wish hadn't applied for my passport which is on its way, won't be able afford to go anywhere with those exchange rates, imagine hopefully markets settle down.
Have to do some food shopping this weekend, need veg/fruit otherwise on best behaviour, staying in watching footie. :j

Congratulations on being under 4k Calling.
Not done much. Decided to go to collect prescription and get the blood test done - didn't expect it to take nearly two hours with several near drownings. Small children had been sent to school on a beautiful sunny day wearing shirts and open toed sandals. Unfortunately it has lashed it down several times. Could here the rain but not see it as it was coming straight down, bouncing off the floor of the car park.
Film club was interesting (especially as it wasn't the film I was expecting tonight). Spent money - plans went awry so hope I have what I need, I have bananas, I can make the rest up. Have added travel and some food but here is another receipt from earlier in the week which needs adding. Not planning to spend any more.
Today I am grateful for blue skies and interesting clouds to end the day, for the new flowers in the beds on the town hall square and for the survival qualities of small children (they squeal though). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
