Good to see everyone still posting and doing well.

FunBrum - you have not let anyone down and you CANNOT bow out!! Please stay with us until the end.

I am not sure that anyone is going to achieve 20 NSD's - in my case, I like to have a target to reach but too be honest just being on here has helped my NSD's, before I would spend every day - not I consider all my purchases and buy all that I can on the same day to maximise NSD's.

Sorry for being AWOL - loads going on including committee work, have taken annual leave and spent nearly the whole time doing committee work. Roll on September when I leave after 5 years of basically running it!!

Up to yesterday I have had 12 NSD's - obviously won't make 20 but I am pleased with this.

I have cleared out my inside freezer and defrosted those annoying blueberries - they had been in the freezer for 4 years  - unfortunately they didn't taste nice once defrosted so they were fed to the chickens (no wastage here). Also defrosted some lambs liver from our own lambs which were slaughtered in 2012:eek: - have been meaning to make pate for years and finally I have - it is lovely, had to omit onions as DH can't have them but it is yummy on toast!!

Also cooked up some odds and sods that are dog friendly and fed to the dogs (oops didn't mention we have a new dog, currently being fostered by us but we may adopt).
For some reason I must have gone on a naan bread purchasing spree earlier this year (and last) as had so many packets so for the last few weeks I keep cooking curry so I can use them up - only 2 packs left now:T
Freezer inside looking so much better and only has things in which we eat.
Still not purchased the hinges for outside freezer 1 but have defrosted it so on next spend day will get hinges as got Lidl voucher and can stock up on meat next weekend.

My home maker side has come out this week - not only have I made pate but also made gluten free scones for the first time (never ever made normal ones before either!!) and some GF buns and used up some out of date chocolate chips. Need to make some more as got some more chocolate chips to use up.

Forgot to say that I don't mind running September or October - can't do July due to big event middle of the month and with being the Treasurer and dealing with all that I won't have time to prepare for the August challenge either but should be ok for September.

Would offer to do next month but having been off work on my jollibobs no one does my work when I off plus busy time anyway this month and in desperate need of a laptop at home. So struggle to write a challenge on ageing tablet.

    Happy to do another month.

Stick with us Funbrum, like Dizzys idea of us just limping to the finish line.

Yesterday used my £30 marks vouchers for getting a cc off this site. Ended up getting 3 meal deals, like chickens and my wine rack was looking sad. A Sfd as no money spent?

Today been for a walk, hamstring now pulling but hate just doing no exercise. Stretch exercises next. Bring on rolling around the lounge

Done lidlee veg/fruit shop. Bought new curtain poles just need someone to put them up!!

Don't worry folks we could always have a competition for who has the least SFDs :rotfl:

So, if bob does July, I'll put my hand up for August, and eager elephant for September. Any objections?

NSD 18 today, so am pretty sure I'll get to 20. It'll be much harder soon though, as I'll be back to working only 2 days and then on summer hols, so more 'opportunities'/temptaion to pop round the shops.... Must resist... Must plan ahead...

Have just challenged a friend to a % weight loss over the next 10 weeks. Losing some weight would really help to ease my joints (note to self - contact surgery for blood/xray results), and my friend is rather competitive...

Don't feel ashamed FunBrum. I too have felt that I have been letting the side down. I need to concentrate on getting the painting done but it has thrown other things out - wouldn't have lost a SFD for spending on diy/ painting things as this comes from a separate money pot but something none diy would sneak into the basket. Usually something none diet friendly.

Eating well is only happening intermittently as I suddenly realise I am hungry (famished/ ravenous) and only on some of the days have I had the foresight to get something out of the freezer. Fridge breaking down didn't help (neither did the kitchen being partly packed away/ awash with painting paraphernalia) but then again that too can be seen as just an excuse.

Don't know what went wrong with my Vitamin D tablet this week but I have been totally lacking in get up and go. I actually slept for most of Friday, felt better yesterday but didn't translate into action. Desperately need to finish the painting (leaving the kitchen for now) so that floor in front room can be done and doors put on and all this stuff be gone (empty tins of paint/ cleaning stuff out, painting stuff away).

There seem to be so many things I need to get on with (trying not to think about them all at once, as per this month's challenge, because then I get too tired to do anything. Seriously thinking about finishing being self-employed (changes in rules/ lots more bureaucracy) but not sure there is an viable alternative as my age and health don't make me an attractive employment prospect.

Will just keep plodding on and adding tasks as I can. At least I can see inside the freezer now and there are the makings for a few good meals still in there - just had a hm cottage pie with sweet potato mash on top. I had squeezed two out of the ends of something else (possibly chilli, was wondering what the colourful boxes were).

Anyway we will soon have a new month and we will all do so much better. Remember No Turtle Gets Left Behind. The debt free journey is a marathon not a sprint.

Today I am grateful for making decisions on the cupboard hinge mountain I have acquired (knew I had a few spare but found them in four separate locations over the past two weeks, all different brands - well serial numbers - with slight but crucial variations), for getting washing done and putting it out to dry (even though it has since decided to rain) and for getting a few domestic tasks done (I am wearing my painting clothes, I can do it, I think I can, I know I can).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Hi everyone
I'm another one that has no clue how far exactly I fell off the wagon in June but I'm limping alongside you all :D The hectic nature of exam marking and teaching full time :o
Thanks for asking Bob - dh has another week of his leg in the cast - he's desperate to have it taken off now, although he has enjoyed time off watching football all day every day. I am hopeful that next Monday he'll have his X-ray done, the cast will come off and he can get back to work. So sympathetic aren't I?
So, spendy day today, for a couple of reasons. 1. I woke up with a really stiff neck this morning, which has been getting worse for a couple of weeks. As I didn't have it in London I've decided it must be my pillow so I replaced mine and dh's pillows.
    2. My self esteem has disappeared again - I am eating for England and am about the size of a house now. No clothes I have fit me any more, so I had to go out and buy a bigger pair of work trousers and a top to hide my huge, disgusting stomach...
    Ah well...

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Cat Im glad to hear DH is on the mend and yes can understand why you'd want him back out to work. Sorry you are feeling a bit unfit. Im sure once work lets up and you can focus on your health again you will.

I am sorry so many people are feeling like June has been a strain for them. It has been a very odd month. The weather alone has just made everything feel difficult. Chin up one and all. I want to see an Applemuncher bunny.

CCL hope yr hubby gets his cast off. I am eating everything I see too.
No idea why I am pigging out on cornish ice cream this time of night. Been feeling really fed up this weekend. Sensible eating starts again tomorrow: Have 7 weeks to get into wedding outfit:eek:

Happy my daughter has arrived finally in Oz today after 6 months travelling. She's in Melbourne. Might not worry as much now.

Bob think we have been luckier up here with the weather, I actually wanted a bit of rain fed up watering garden.
