Hi everyone!
NSD here, lunch to work and all meals from stores. Posted an eBay item but the buyer paid postage so not counting that as a spend. Around £20 profit overall.0 -
Good morning,
Yesterday was an NSD for me, I'll update my sig in a second.
Today should be the same, depending on what gym class I go to.
I'm now off to have a read at next months challenge. Good luck everyone and well done on June.0 -
Thing is as well most of the time people mean spend money that isnt theirs ie on Mr Plastic. Wheres the fun in putting a meal or cinema trip on credit? I think that is why many on here say they owe 20k but have nothing to show for it.
Well its not going to be me - changing my spending habits
Another SFD in the bag today. 14/20 should make 15 as lots of veg in.
Horrid wet day here today, hoping it clears up a little later need to do some exercise. Paid wee amount off cards today, nice to getting back onto the PADing treadmill.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Hello,
Thanks Bob for the new challenge. My financial failing? For me it is the Friday top-up shop: quick dinner, snacks for the kids, drinks, and it is usually Tescimo, so 20-40 quid easily gone (50-60 is the big weekly shop in LIDL that feeds us a week in comparison, so needs to stop).
So next month I have to plan much better ahead for days out, birthdays etc. But also change my spending habits during the week. Do a big shop on the Sat (meal plan better), top up shop usually for fresh milk on Tue, and if we have to go on Friday, make sure it's LIDL as the temptations are less.
My new bank has a card reader thingy that you need to use to log onto online banking, which meant I had my wallet with me the last few weeks, not good. Wallet needs to stay at home again apart from payday to shuffle money around.
Today will be another SFD but not tomorrow. DS has his "graduation" (in " on purpose, as he's not graduating is he, he's leaving, sorry sidetracked) and they're doing a play, if I hadn't asked they would have told me tonight what he needs to wear which is of course sth he doesn't have, yet. So tomorrow we'll have to buy him his first set of school clothes as he needs a white t-shirt and school trousers for the play.
Wow, loads of NSDs the last few days, keep them coming.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
A NSD. I have done the painting of the front room (most urgent task) and now I ache all over. Just getting up and down stairs is an effort. However I have put a load of washing on, phoned the man about the internal doors (answer machine), phoned mum (not great), contacted DS1 with info from mum, paid a bill, measured for flooring for front room, brought water (to drink) upstairs and then put my trousers on to go and bring the emptied bin back (was still full at lunchtime when I checked).
Just hope I can move when I wake up tomorrow. Ideally I need to gloss down the stairs and in the front room but can only work within my physical limits. Mentally thinking through a couple of other jobs - I have worked out which is the bottom and which is the front on one of the wardrobe sides, hoping I can figure out the complicated bits from the holes for the fittings.
Put away all my clean clothes whilst listening to Layla last night (knowing it was over 8 minutes long was enough to motivate me).
Today I am grateful for bin men (lots more I am going to get rid of, including stuff I have been saving for Justin), for DS3 helping when I asked him (moving the sideboard and two couches so I could do the last bit of ceiling and one wall and alcove) and for giving me 3 pieces of leftover pizza (don't know what else I would have had for tea) and one I keep forgetting - eating 12 raspberries from the self-seeded bush in the corner (growing out of the wall) sitting in the garden in the sunshine. More torrential rain today, at least it made it cooler for painting. Should also give thanks for the cheap pink shower cap, no fashion statement but I haven't had to wash/ comb/ cut paint out of my hair - neighbour made a sarky comment the other week but her face transformed when I explained - "genius".My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Morning,
As expected, yesterday was an NSD for me as I used my friends free pass for his gym.
Today won't be however as I need to fill up in petrol and probably do some other bits and bobs.
Loving Julys challenge, already working on my goals.0 -
Last day of June.
Managed to finally fix the yucki bathroom seals yesterday and it looks clean and hygienic again. Also put the shower door seal and silicon on in a way that there are less crevices etc for easier cleaning.
Not much else to report apart from that my last day won't be a SFD as I have to go and get DS a school uniform.
You all did really well this month. There were ups and downs; personal, financial etc but we got through it. I personally feel the support here helps me a lot. Thank you all.
Hope to see you all in Bob's thread tomorrow.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Thanks Thrifty for running June, sorry I have under performed this month.:o
Managed to resist a takeaway last night so my SFD stands at a healthy 15. Pleased with that as went away for a week as well this month.;)
Mothernerd I always wear shower hat for painting, don't care how silly I look. It would take forever to get paint out of my curly mop, I have now moved over to Satinwood paint as no undercoat required and doesn't yellow - tip from painters we use in work.
Thanks again Thrifty enjoyed the challenge. Toiletries need a top up now.:T:T:TLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
