Have an estate agent coming at 1pm to value the lease. And another in the offing who I've been emailing. Hopefully should end this week with that information too. Apparently another local shop a little way from me is being taken by a small chain. So that is hopeful.
Good luck with the sale
DD is looking smart in another lovely new outfit sent by grandparents but me less so. I noticed my shirt has a hole and frayed cuffs. Like you Thrifty I need to prioritize a few spends my way next pay period I think.
For years I considered myself well groomed if I got through the morning without anyone being sick on me or wiping weetabix in my hair

The builders have gone. Mr Builder has to come back on Sunday to do the pointing as the weather turned nasty (pointing mix would have fallen/ been washed out before it dried), but apart from that they are finished and the bill has been paid. Bill was good, less than I was expecting and they had forgotten the mirror and Mrs Builder says it's okay, nothing more to pay.
I still have enough set aside to pay for the doors including fitting and some for the roof man, depending on his quote.
The kitchen has plinths, a new piece of worktop (made from a desk top I had), splash backs behind the sink and cooker (leftovers of bathroom ceiling paneling), handles on all the doors, units and worktops are attached to each other and the wall - beautifully tidy as all the drawer and cupboard contents and the kettle, toaster plus all the junk that was on the work tops are away in bags and on the cube shelves. Lots has been thrown, more to go.
Going to have a serious cull on diy bits - I had some which have been saved for years and MR Builder didn't use them. Assorted bolts, only used once - DS1 had a broken bed with missing bolts and I had an assortment from beds that are no longer with us. Anything useful but not needed by me will go to the charity shop and some will be binned - they are only small but cumulatively they are too much.
I now have working curtain rails and poles - DS2 had put two up but had only screwed into the plaster not the wall so they were wobbly and in one case too flimsy (I will be taking it to mum's for her little kitchen window - DS2 had stretched it across a 6'+ window. I have put two sets of curtains up.
Would have been a SFD (was going to go for more little wheels for the filing cabinets - not dragging stuff across my new floor - but the downpour put paid to that) but needed a couple of things to eat tomorrow (will be cooking as well) and don't know what time the fridge is coming yet.
Going to get in the bath and have an early night. Today I am grateful for the Builders, for ladybirds and for curtains (no car park light glare tonight). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Thrifty that sounds like such a fun lesson.
Bob ur poor little being ill. Hope she's better soon. Well done on the eBay sales too. I feel like u could give lessons on selling on eBay u do so well. I have listed anything in ages- even though I desperately need to clear some stuff. eBay just puts me off. Whenever I have listed stuff I've always had crappy buyers. Or no buyers n I feel like I've wasted my time.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #820 -
Morning!
I'll collect another NSD today. Making it 5-in-a-row which is my new record!
I'll try and spend tomorrow and avoid spending Sunday.
Try being the word.
Have a good day everyone0 -

Thanks Dizzy she is looking much better already. The drops have really helped.
The biggest tip I have picked up recently is to list items as set price but open to bids instead of going the auction route. This seems to attract more buyers." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi All
So its all a bit frustrating at the moment. Had the estate agent round yesterday to value the lease but the person dealing with me has now gone on holiday till next week. Having called today no one else can deal with the case. So Im a bit in limbo.
During the conversation with them I asked how long the process of selling could take and they implied not long. Which blew my mind a bit as I'd imagined a long tailed situation.
However although I cant state the details on a public forum I had a conversation today where someone registered their interest in the business subject to value.
So feel a bit stuck. Need figure to move forwards...
Hope everyone else is ticking along alright.
