Mothernerd well done on all the hard work you are doing around your place. It really will pay off. The amount of decluttering you do is amazing. Keep going!

    Morning!!

    Another NSD yesterday! BOOOOM.

Was treated to a lovely dinner last night in Glasgow with my GF's family as they have a 40% off voucher that can be used on weekdays. Today will be another NSD actually. Feeling really determined and confident I'll get a few in a row and i'll spend very little for the remainder of this month.

    Keep going Turtles!

    Good morning,

Bobarella sorry to hear about your family situation. That seems difficult.

hopefully an NSD :D today too.

Had a good cheery afternoon yesterday being really patient and playing silly games with the kids etc.

Used up some LO roast chicken and some veg plus the last of my bak choi from the garden to make a few portions of oriental chicken noodle soup for lunches. Got DS breakfast club form filled in and handed that in this morning. And as DH was watching the football (I only really watch the Germany games) I finally started reading again and continued a book a started months ago. Hopefully tonight will go similarly.

Also did a proper fridge and freezer inventory. Will need to look up some recipes to try out something new and use up random bits and bobs like dry chickpeas. Also the spinach in the garden and the swiss chard looks nearly ready. So will use that although no idea what to do with swiss chard yet. I only planted it because I liked the look of it.

I'll check in back later, really busy at work today and procrastinated on here too much yesterday :o

    Howdy turtles.

I would gladly babysit for you Bob and Thrifty if we lived nearer. Very sad your Mother not meeting her grandchild. I couldn't wait for mine to arrive.

Had physio appt yesterday, she was really helpful, pulled/torn hamstring. So not starting the match for Wales on Thursday. Gareth Bale will replace me. Given me cool stuff to put on, save me buying, exercises which hurt as still got swelling at the back of my knee.

Yesterday decorator decided to ring me after 7pm to say he was coming today. So had a busy night clearing the lounge out, dangling on ladder taking curtain poles down.

Having a emotional time with daughters pregnancy yesterday, hopefully know more next week.

Spent today, bought relatives kids I am seeing some welsh mugs pound each , filling them with sweets and anything else I can find? They are 8 and 9yr olds so no idea what they like.

    SFD a miserable 4.

Mothernerd slow down. Don't overdo it. I feel so guilty not decorating myself. Never had anyone do it for me but reasonable and I can't patch up ceiling, pipes myself.

Thrifty your chicken noodle soup sounds lovely.

Have the feeling going to waste veg, as I have had a funny tummy last couple of days and the only thing I wanted was a baked potato. See what I can cook tonight - not holding out much hope of getting in kitchen - all dining room furniture is piled up in there.

Hoping to go away a day earlier if I can escape the madness.

calling hope all is ok with your daughter and her pregnancy

bob and thrifty I'd gladly babysit for you if I was near (pretty sure you're in London and Scotland? And I'm in the Midlands) :(

Today and yesterday were SFDs :) Doing lots of work at school, tutoring and examining and feel pooped already today. Maybe it's the low carb diet. Still not hungry and need to have tea in the next 30 minutes so I can go tutoring so think I'll just have some cheese as that's what I fancy. This diet is odd.

Not much else to report, no dog walking here tonight as its started to rain again for the hundredth time today but the dog walker took the dogs out for a run at the park so they are already fairly tired.

Awww Fmess what a kind and lovely offer. I am sure that should fate ever bring us together I'd much rather polish off a few wines with you rather than stick you with the kids :)

Calling Oh no Im sorry to hear that things have been worrying with your daughters pregnancy, really hope all will be well. And thank you for the empathy.

A full on day, involving baby wrangling, meetings with the accountant and talks with a commerical lettings agent. Oh and parents evening. Oh and a trip to the post office to send off 2 ebay sales.

Another NSD in the bag. Off to dr tomorrow because I am still extremely worn out and feeble. I'd like a time frame for recuperation or blood tests in case it is something else...

Fmess - sounds like a happy eating plan! Enjoy.

Hope the doctor can help apple

bob it'd be lovely to go for a glass of wine or two. I do wish I lived round the corner from many of you, I'd like to think we'd be 'real life friends' too :)

Tutoring done and money put to one side for next week's petrol and food :) should be the last one of the year, so just the examining and day job to think of.

    Good morning,

thanks for all the babysitting offers. Would also be lovely to all meet over a glass of wine, wouldn't it. We probably shared more private things on here than we do with most of our real world friends.

Today will be another SFD. Love having a garden. I don't grow much but last night I went and harvested some spinach and swiss chard for dinner and got today's dinner tatties.

If I remember right there are some teachers amongst you and even biology/science. We do an outreach program where we do a science class in S1. Now this time we got free reign on what to teach. It's usually 15 min intro and then loads of experiments. Any suggestions for a topic that would apply well. Was thinking chemical reactions that change temperature, colour or physical state changes. Or blood. Make your own, pH experiments, etc.

    Thanks
