Hello everyone, first reporting for the month with 2 NSD's. It would have been 3 today but had to buy a few things at b n m and now that I'm back home, I am a bit gutted with myself as they are not absolutely needed to be bought today. They are not impulse buys because they are needs and not wants but could have been put off till the actual food shopping day. Anyway, it is still a bit of a triumph because I was in town centre the whole afternoon to accompany DS2 for his orthodontics appointment. We had an hour to kill before and after his appointment so we did the charity shop hopping and also in tk maxi but resisted all temptation and left the town centre empty handed.
I ate 2 frogs today! Go Me! I managed to give my car a good hoover. It is now spotless. Hubby has been planning to take it to the valetting service but it will cost £22. So I did it for NOWT! And I think I did a good job of it too. There are also a lot of clutter in the boot of my car (quite heavy) that I managed to sort and remove. I can imagine you all shaking your head in dismay. I know it has cost me quite a few pounds running the car with all those heavy clutter in the boot. Not very MSE I know.
Some of my biggest achievements this week are as follows
1. As per this month's rules, i managed to use up a lot of the stuff in the fridge before going out to buy. The star of the week was a marrow that I bought from Morris last Sunday, it was YS and only cost me 19p. I saut!ed it last Wednesday night, seasoned with vegetable oxo, a bit of soy sauce, a bit of ground black pepper and it fed a family of 4. It was yummy too. We also had kipper (2 whole ones fro 25p each). Loads more veg in the fridge so we can survive for another week without veggies shopping.
2. I lost another pound bringing up my weight loss to 7lbs for 5 weeks. I am ecstatic about it because I thought I would gain at least 3 pounds after I binged last holiday weekend. It was actually the third frog this week. Convinced of the weight gain I thought I had, I decided early in the week that I would miss the ww class because I didn't want to face up to my indulgence. But my colleague urged me on and I am glad I went. It motivated me to get back to the plan and lose some more unwanted pounds.
3. I have made 2 tops out of 2 dresses that were heading to the charity shop/rag bag. 2 tops for nowt and my colleagues commented on how nice my makes are. I have also finished the dress that I have been making in the sewing class and I used another fabric that I rescued from the fabric bin in the class, so another free dress. It was meant to be a toile for trying the fit, but I thought it was nice enough to wear so bought a couple of meters of lace and sewed it on the toile to make it less plain.
I am yet to read catch up on your past posts. So I bid you all a nice enjoyable weekend."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Wow, I'm impressed. If you keep going at this rate frogs might become extinct soon. Focus on your amazing achievements, you are all off to a great start this month.
the only girl well done on the weigh loss.
I'm on the naughty step today. Didn't exercise again, ate my salad for elevenses and then got some chips from the canteen. And I smoked tonight. Heyho. I have good intentions from now on and won't dwell on it. Didn't do anything extra either. But had a great successful day at work. New day tomorrow.
Don't feel abandoned but I might not get much chance to log on. Have a great weekend allDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Doing as I have been told. No work done, just went to see mum. Taxi there and back (mum gave me money for the taxi home so it probably didn't cost me much - 20p just worked it out in my head) and wore my wellies as I couldn't bear to bend down for long enough to get my boots on and fasten them. I need to look at available trainers for the summer months.

Yesterday did not end up a NSD after all as DH spent £2 on a couple of beers to go with his HM curry.
We had fish and chips tonight as it was national fish and chip day (any excuse;):p). I did manage to do my run and am under my calories allowance on MFP so not too bad a day.
Defrosted some blueberries for smoothies and some YS GF pancakes for breakfasts.
Did a small shop today for chicken, fruit and potatoes and bought the toiletries I needed. Also spent £1.50 on tweezers as I still couldn't find mine. I used up my Mr T vouchers on the shopping. I usually save them for doubling up at Christmas but since they stopped that I might as well spend them.

I didn't spend any money today, but OH did. Do people count NSDs if their OH spends but they don't? (I don't, but I just wondered what others do..?) He bought a new broom to sweep the garage out and also picked up a couple of YS items, so I need to add that to my food spends total.
WHat made me happy today- achieving a decent amount of clearing out from the garage. Finally finishing building the millennium falcon for DS3. Playing bubbles with the smallest 2 outside. Using up several tubs of leftovers for dinner tonight and some odds and ends of veggies in the fridge. Fitting the remaining food from the garage freezer into the main freezer in the kitchen and that meaning we can get rid of the small garage freezer.
Combatting overwhelmedness - doing almost 2 hours of ironing tonight to get it up straight apart from a kingsize bedding set. Morning All
Cake has just been collected. Always nice to see the customer happy (then go and collapse in a heap)
Cycling home in a bit, will provide some nice me time. Fell asleep in front of netflix at 9.30 last night, how rock and roll.
DS has announced his desire to make dinner tonight. Burgers apparently. Need to check we have the right ingredients in.

Morning all :hello:
I have returned from a reasonably frugal holiday away with bestie and our children. I am just off to get caught up with what you've all been up to, but thought I'd best get my targets sorted for June. I have no idea what is going to happen this month but we really need to stop spending so much.
Minimum of 20 NSDs.
Bearing in mind I've already had 3 spendy days this could be tough but I am going to try.
Pay your debt first and budget with the rest.
No debt to pay, but also no income from dh and his broken ankle this month
All monetary outgoings are to be accounted for prior to the start of the month.
I have had our holiday until yesterday, plus I have 2 days in London later in the month. This is work related and covered by expenses but I do normally spend a bit while I'm there.
Utilise any random food left in cupboards / freezers etc and get creative, think twice before going out for a food shop. Only need milk and bread, stick to that. Make a list for a bigger shop and don’t go shopping hungry
This is where I need to focus myself this month.
Batch cooking is encouraged- meals that require individual or specialised ingredients are not unless you already have them.
Use up box has returned.
No foods are to be purchased at work canteens / cafes etc. If you are having a family day out take packed lunches. (this will be hard with a non-MSE DH like mine)
Only supermarket own brands are encouraged unless there is really sth you despise like the coffee and can’t live without the brand (like my DH).
My kids refuse anything other than H**nz ketchup, and I am a Fa!ry liquid snob, but other than that ok. I'm going to do the monthly online shop today at some point.
No non-essential beauty items are to be purchased. Use up everything you have in the house before ANY purchases.
This should be easy
Reduce smoking in this month by half.
Although I don't smoke, I am mildly addicted to buying wool for crochet and knitting, so my target is not to buy any more this month.
Try and eat at least one frog this month, a giant one.
Still thinking about this.
And last but not least: Combat overwhelmed-ness
Brilliant for me. Especially during this massively busy month. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

|It's been a spendy few days for me.....
Thurs 2nd was the day DD was being measured for posh bras!!! Spent £46 in M&S and then DD needed an outfit for a christening - we hit Primark hard and spent £81:eek:
By the time we came out of there the card shop was shut which meant I had to spend on Fri 3rd as needed christening card and wrapping paper and also needed lemons to make cake for charity bingo tonight.
So that is still only 1 NSD:mad:
Today will be a small spend day as we have charity bingo and will need to buy food/drink there plus we are off to look a 4 x 4 as DH's truck needs replacing so that may become a big spend day:eek:
Have a good weekend everyone!!0
