Impressive Kat think my daughter is following you, just left the Philippines now in Malaysia, climbed Mount Kinabula today 4095m.
Hello Calling14 - what a great time your daughter must be having. I think I would have done my Malaysian trip a lot differently if I did it again. New Zealand and prepping for that made me realise how much being outdoors makes me happy, there will be a lot more adventure geared towards that in the coming decisions on where and what to do.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Thought you all would like to know my out-goings over here. I am paid weekly (whoop!) with $919 a week which is pretty good I think. $180 on rent, $39 a week on travel, $70 on food, $30 on misc (wool ).
I am not going anywhere or doing anything until the debt is cleared. I have no other out-goings despite a very large Krispy Kreme right next door - haha!
I bring my lunch to work everyday as the selections around work, although extensive as I am right near a very large train station, will be expensive. Thankfully we have access to three fully equipped kitchens. Free tea as well. Also a book shelf for free swappsies and another free one in a large central train station would you believe - so plenty of free entertainment. Might even use my weekly pass to go for walkies in the mountain nearby - but I don't own a coat. That's right I sent it home thinking I wouldn't need a raincoat - now I am freezing! Ha...
No beauty out-goings, no canteens, no vending machines etc and no fun - haha! My flatmates have Netflix and a large TV selection so I can stay in with the cats and knit. Purr-Fect.
My boyfriend is English, joined me for a year, non-vegan, under 6ft, and has had to return to work. Where we go from here is unknown.
I will be heading home for my Granny's 90th in October so need to consider booking a flight soon, I want a new tent for solo hiking through Northern Ireland while I am home, a short stint somewhere very warm on route home if I can locate somewhere cheap enough and I intend to take $6000 with me when I leave.
See, lots to keep me busy....;-)“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. What does ur job entail nsk?
What did u invest in Bob? How comes u stopped?
Yesterday ended up being a nsd so that's one under my belt. I'm questioning food shopping today.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #820 -
NSK - sounds exciting and you sound determined. Hopefully this challenge will help you get there.
It wasn't a NSD yesterday for me, however today willI'll go a big shop tomorrow when I go in to buy my suit so I shouldn't have to spend on Sunday. Forward thinking

mothernerd - you get so much done - I'm always amazed how much you fit in! Please pace yourself today if possible - aches are not good x
Yesterday was not a NSD - bought new glasses at Tosco due to change in prescription. Did change up some clubcard vouchers under the boost scheme for them :money:, so 2 pairs of glasses only cost £5 in actual cash :T Whilst we were there it would have been rude not to check the YS shelves, so we picked up a few items at around £5 (receipt in kitchen - will update sig later) OH also took DS2 to the cinema to see Civil War - no spends on food there as he took drinks and snacks (aldi popcorn
) and the tickets were prepaid codes from last summer. Did have to pay for carparking, though. Oh - and OH bought a numberplate for our caravan from Amaz0n - but that was using vouchers from cashback, so no hard cash there.
Final spends of the day were last night in the pub with friends. First Thursday of the month we meet up - large group of us, so if someone doesn't make it for whatever reason there's always someone to talk to. £13 on a night out for hours with friends was good value and I happened to see some friends I hadn't seen in literally years, so that was a lovely surprise:)
Today - no spends planned at the mo - although the milk situation is a bit low. May hopefully stretch until tomorrow - fingers crossed. Plans for the day are washing, ironing, finishing building a millennium falcon model with DS3, homework with DS2 & DS3 and some more work on my frogs. Looks like being a nice day. DD also needs collecting from an 18th sleepover party at some point - but that's unlikely to be until lunchtime, I suspectMay also womble around the accounts and check all is in order and see if I can throw any more funds into the holiday fund this week

Quick check in from me:)
Feeling very flat today, smashed a wine glass this morning. I must add left from last night. Clipped it with washing basket and went everywhere. Cleared up but then late for work.:(
Not sure why I am so fed up mixture of people letting me down - going to do jobs and not showing up plus this week bit lonely no friends around.
Spendy day as well, need to pay for my half of buyagift hotel voucher - be nice when eventually get away for a few nights.
Bought a dress today sundress, just liked it and will wear it a lot. Not too expensive either good old Peacocks. So bad this month already plonked myself on naughty step to stop me spending.
This weekend I plan to go to M & S get a dine in meal(have 4 pounds in vouchers plus need to use their new cc) So I will get 30 pounds vouchers in August -ready for new bra time lol and also get 500 bonus points - equal 5 pounds as well. Well worth spending six pounds
No plans this weekend, so hopefully a low spend one. Have million things to do in the house to keep me busy. Painted trellis last night, more tonight. Trellis reusing and using up old paint. Repotted my cheap petunias bought them a while ago reduced to a pound in B & Q look fab now. So not wasting money on bedding plants this year, my garden looks gorgeous so many shrubs in flower, nothing else needed.

I can finally claim an NSD :j.
Did some of my 'overwhelming pile' today - and was so frustrated by it - grrr. So I did another checklist for it, that clarified that 80% of it was all done and dusted and fine. That helped to put it into perspective better. But I still blasted off a few emails - as I had been waiting for replies since May 24th and the task is 'supposed' to be an important, pretty urgent one. Ha!
I have since completed another frog, which is satisfying.
And now to relax a little...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
What did u invest in Bob? How comes u stopped?
Not Berkshire Hathaway sadly:rotfl:
In my past life I worked in Marketing for a global Insurance company. I still hold shares in that via the company share scheme. At the time I had cash savings and the next step they recommended was investments. I set up funds but I also self invested in a handful of companies I picked then traded via at the time the Motley Fool sharedealing platform. My best pick was Mulberry at around 29p.at the time. I sold them at around £9.
I stopped as I put all my available funds into setting up my business. And havent had the finance since. Hence the desire but not the fun tokens" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

NSD 2 here. Both kids in bed (just) lets see how long DD stays down for. She managed to cover herself head to toe in spagetti at dinner time so that took some cleaning up (and photos obviously)
The house is fairly tidy after a weeks Flyladying. Liking the principles of doing small jobs all the time. Managed to declutter the bathroom cupboard whilst the bath ran..
Have to run around a bit in the morning, delivering a cake (£20 extra in the kitty) but other than that should be quite relaxing
Night all
