I've had numerous yellow cards and one red.

It was for the most pathetic reasons. When someone was literally going to cost someone their home if the OP listened to the advice.

I told the poster to 'go away' and got a 2 week ban. The forum team doesn't acknowledge my emails anymore

I wouldn't let it worry you. This site's been going down the toilet for years. If, like suki says, they're encouraging people to report on each other (on a board which is largely made up of frustrated females) it's no wonder people are getting banned left right and centre.


Some delicate little flower has been reporting my posts and will no doubt take great delight in seeing me PPRed. Couldn't give a monkeys. Might even come back and start a couple of spoof threads My husband's having an affair. My partner's been watching !!!!!!. My boyfriend's left me, yadda yadda

On DT and elsewhere on MSE I don't see it. The areas for those who like debate are popuated with those who make a point, and either agree or disagree with points others are making and move on. I post what I think, I try to put it politely, and I hope I am never rude, but as I said previously, people often mistake something they didn't want to hear for rudeness and if they hear it from more than one person it morphs into; gangs, cliques and bullying. Why not just take it on face value; everyone has an opinion and you will agree with some and disagree with others, as will everyone else and you will thank accordingly. No agenda, no gangs, no bullying.

The bullying that does go on on MSE is far more insidious, less overt and very successful. It is the behind the scenes reporting of posts that are disagreed with and the resultant PPR of posters whose "crime" is to fall foul of those who are unable to debate so resort to "telling tales". Many long term posters have fallen foul of this.

Never a truer word spoken! Theres quite a cliquey group on the consumer rights board. Quite often i've had posts deleted because i've disagreed with one of the clique.

I lost a 10 year old account due to pointless reporting of posts.
