Having seen the notification box now all I can suggest for those who did not want this update but still got it is an urgent visit to Specsavers (preferably on public transport or walking).

Still a scurvy trick though as anybody who hasn't taken Win 10 by now obviously doesn't want it.

I find it crazy how they can force you to update to Windows 10

They can't. They're trying hard, but you can stop it.

It is currently trying to persuade its customers to upgrade to Windows 10 by showing them a pop up box with a little red cross in the corner.
Normally, this icon would close down the window.
But this time around, clicking on the controversial cross will start the upgrade.

    And their excuse this time......
Microsoft said: "With the free Windows 10 upgrade offer ending on 29 July, we want to help people upgrade to the best version of Windows.
Oh they want to help ok, regardless of what we want.

No thanks, your last advice was just as pointless, think I will stick to Win7 up until its redundant then simply move over to my Chromebook or my Apple Mac. :D
