Hi can anyone tell me if BOS will except 2 dd from the same account.
Iv already set up 3 x 2 dd from Tesco online saver to my 3 BOS accounts, just wondered if i set up another 3 dd from the same Tesco online saver will this will meet the 2 dd's per BOS account or dose it have to be from a different Tesco account like the Instant saver.
Spoke to Tesco call center he said you can set up as meany DD to go out of the Tesco Internet saver so thats no problem. just wondered if the Bank of Scotland will accept it as 2 DD per account.0 -
As per post #58 further up this thread, the key question is do they show as separate DD mandates in your BOS online banking?
There are two DDs on each of my BOS account showing up as "TESCO BANK" with a different series of numbers under each one.
This is from a single Tesco Internet Saver.0 -

The series of numbers normally include your account number within it. This should show you if it's 2 different accounts or the same one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Suppose you will not know if this works till they change how the BOS accounts work in September.
Im trying to find out if what you have done will count as two different DD as they are both from the same Tesco Internet Saver, and are not different accounts.
If you find out let us know0 -

Bank of Scotland won't know these are funding the same Tesco account - that's not how direct debits work. But they will know they are funding the same payee. There is nothing in the T&Cs to say the ssame payee cannot be funded.
I think it all depends how BOS interpret 2 " different" DDs as their new T & Cs require.
It could be argued that 2 DDs to the same payee ie Tesco do not meet the " different" criteria.0 -

The originator's (in this case your Tesco account) sort code and account number form part of the record when the funds are claimed. If BoS did include a condition that two direct debits to separate accounts were required it wouldn't take much for them to get to the bottom of it.0 -

Qualifying for Vantage
It is straightforward, simply:
pay at least £1000 into your account each month, and
stay in credit (above £0).
We are making some important changes to our Vantage qualifying criteria. From 1st September 2016, in addition to the current qualifying criteria, you’ll also need to pay at least two different Direct Debits from your Bank of Scotland Vantage account each calendar month to receive credit interest.
This is what it says in the BOS terms and conditions still confusing:huh:
If i set up another 3 dd from the same Tesco Internet saver account will this will meet the 2 dd's per BOS account or dose it have to be from a different Tesco account like 1 from Tesco Internet Saver and 1 from Tesco Instant Saver
If i have to open an Instant saver, not a problem only takes a quid to open0
