Is it true that Citizens Advice Bureau no longer operates a price comparison tool (at least as far as Scotland is concerned)?

I'm gradually catching up on this, that price comparisons are off the agenda for the present - while folk are grappling to understand the implications of the govt price guarantee. But if one has no option my gut feeling is to switch to Octopus "blind" and trust to luck.

A shout out to Octopus's algorithms - I hadn't sent meter readings since 1 October 2022 and so got an estimated bill for the 4 months to end January. Remarkably, the electricity was just 2kWh over the actual reading and gas just 8 units under the actual.
Well could be just be a lot of luck. We are a high use household and I'm also happy with the £340 monthly DD that has left us with a small credit but - and it's a big but - that's only because of the capped prices and the £67 a month payment.
This is on the variable tariff. We were on the tracker and I'm thinking that it's going to make a lot of sense to switch back to the tracker by the end of March. Thoughts?0 -
Nice, when I was late with a meter reading their algorithm thought we use used 640kW/h of electricity instead of the usual 220kW/h in a month0

Sign up for the next Savings Sessions and you can recoup the "overcharge" as "savings" when you revert to 220 kWh.😄Telegraph Sam

My mother, who is an Octopus customer, has just come back from shopping to find a visiting card from Octopus through the door. It doesn't give any reason for the visit, just the visitor's name. Any ideas? The (smart) meters are on the front wall of the house, so I doubt it was for meter reading.
I'm sure I've seen somewhere that they were doing random visits for some reason, but I can't remember why.0 -

I get constant junk mail since I did their stupid spin the wheel link after entering my readings...up to 7 a day now, really REALLY annoying.
Wish I was still with Bulb. They were extremely good.0
