I realize you can enter meter reading at any time via Octopus dash board, but I was used to a monthly email from Avro saying please enter your meter reading, is this what Octopus do monthly.
Am sure they email once but Avro was spot on monthly around 12 - 140 -
Hardly necessary when you can get a statement at anytime with an up to date credit/debit balance. Most phones; pads and computers will let you set a monthly reminder. Octopus smart meter customers only get a monthly statement: I keep pressing to have the ‘on demand’ facility re-instated. All that said, Octopus’ systems are far ahead of my present EDF SoLR gas offer which is one statement every six months unless I pay more for monthly bills. Not here - I’ve had one every month since they were installed in 2019. My account is debited the same day that they take the readings and I get the statement the following morning.Telegraph_Sam said:0 -

Cleared my outstanding Avro debt (from credit) for which Octopus billed me.Vegastare said:So my questions are

Lastly do they generate bill after they request meter reading....if so it didn't happen for me.
Given Octopus three readings (ends of Oct, Nov, Dec) but no bill as of yet although the money has been taken from my credit balance.I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.0 -

Initially I was on manual reads and had an email request for readings followed by a new invoice within 24 hrs. Via Octopus I upgraded to SMETS2 meters and had an additional invoice at the meter changeover. I queried when I would now be invoiced and it was up to me when I wanted readings to be auto added to my account - I chose the month end. Apparently this date is only available to be changed by Octopus staff and not via the current portal. My meter readings appear to have been updated as requested and I got a couple of 'Spin to Win' chances (£0 of course!) - as yet no bill.... but I guess its Christmas. I'll update as and when..0
