Just a bit annoying when you're trying to review your usage and the real data is unreadable due to the scale.
    Mine is also a L&G G470
If you hover your mouse over the bars you should get a pop-up to say how much you used in that half hour?
Yes, thats a workaround, I guess a firmware update to the meter will be needed to solve the issue for good.

  • Can I feel "comfortable" (relatively) that the 16 K m3  hexadecimal error will not decide to affect us Octopus leccy users also? For m3 substitute kWh.  Depending on which meter has been installed.

It has been an issue for the past 2 years so I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Odd thing is it was fine for a week and it started doing this.

Quite a few people on twitter with the same meter and the same problem, maybe if enough noise could be made about the issue, something might get done?

I'd think your best bet is to convince Octopus to apply a fix such that the error code is interpreted as a missing value rather than a numeric one. That should address the inconvenience.

Mine has been stable with no spike errors for a long time now and personally I would not wish for a firmware update as they have a tendency to bring new and unexpected bugs with them.
The hex problem is a very minor irritation when it occurs, it has no impact on billing and I'd hate to swap that for something worse...
