EDF special tariff not for EDF customers?
Comments
-
I want to switch my parents to this tariff as they are already with EDF and are reluctant to change suppliers, but it doesn't seem possible.
It's massively annoying if they don't allow existing customers to switch to it.0 -
Change your existing provider settings to someone other than EDF then you will see it in the results and be able to fill in the switch form.
Then wait and see what happens...0 -
I'm going to wait it out. It must be a bug or error at their end, so hopefully it'll get fixed soon.0

Does what current supplier you have affect a switch?
I sent an email to MSE earlier this morning but as of yet, no reply.....0 -

Presumably MSE or whoever is promoting the tariff, doesn't get commission for a switch of tariff in the same company; and would have to pay the applicant 30 pounds??
Some comparison websites don't list cheaper tariffs in the same company, doubtless for the same reason.0 -

Not that MSE would champion something like being a consumer focussed outfit and all...0 -
According to this link and something that I recall reading on MSE, the supplier should inform existing customers of this Collective Tariff offer on customers bills. It follows that it would make little sense to offer it to existing customers on a switching site.

It would seem that the days of suppliers paying comparison sites a referral fee for anything other than new customers may be over. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
No mention of it on my latest bill from EDF.0

Yep, spoke with EDF - this is for new customers only.
On the brief blurb I saw nothing about it excluding existing customers.
The collective switch with British Gas also allowed BG customers to switch, so I was hopeful!
Oh well...0 -
It was available to EDF customers up to midnight last night.
