So contract ends on the 04/04/2016.

Just phoned EE and asked for PAC code. Aparantly if I use it today I will get charged £23 but if I use it on the 4 April 2016 I won't.

    No idea how that works..

The contract doesn't end on 04/04, you just reach the end of the minimum term.

If you want to terminate on 04/04 you would use the PAC (why do you keep referring to it as a "Port Authorisation Code code"?) you would need to use it slightly before the 4th as it isn't an immediate process, it takes at least one working day.

In your case, for the PAC to be actioned on the 4th you would need to use it on the 1st of April and the number would then be ported on the 4th (as long as there weren't any complications).

You might want to go back and check with them, they don't do an 18GB plan.

You might have misheard, the top plans are either 8GB or 16GB...

I'm with EE & looking to upgrade but I haven't been offered that deal. Was this in negotiation with them once you said you were leaving ?

In my case, yes, they phoned me back later in the day after I phoned them and got my PAC.

Just remember that your old iPhone will be locked to EE and only *they* can unlock it (safely/properly) at *your* say so.
So, if you want to pass it on to someone else, it *may* be a good idea to get it unlocked.

    :)

I have it unlocked. Had to phone EE who send you a text and basically ask you to connect it to iTunes and that will unclock it. Assuming it's all worked but I got no confirmation.

There is an EE charge of about £8 for this. :-(

iPhone 5s is currently listed on ebay. :-)
