Our agents have somehow magic'ed a viewing for us this Wednesday. Apparently they are investors. Does anyone know if investors look for different things in a house than people looking for their next home?

Heading towards the start of week 2 for our listing now. Nothing since the viewing in the first couple of days and no contact from the EA with any details on the response to our advert. Thinking of dropping them a line tomorrow to see if they can tell me how much interest there has been through the Internet - hopefully the can track downloads etc. I would also have hoped for at least a little contact just to keep us updated, even if it was just to say they hadn't had any bites this week...

Is your listing on Zoopla? You can see how many views on there which is interesting. Would be good if Rightmove did the same!

Investors that looked at ours were looking at getting a good deal. So it depends how much negotiating you're willing to do I think :)
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭
  • I expect investors will want to screw you on the price.

After nearly two years on the market we have a local agent coming round to tell us what we are doing wrong.

I think it is obvious really.
  • Hi everyone not been on for ages!!! As you can see we're still up for sale!!! We were meant to have a viewing today but they cancelled (at least they told us and it wasn't a no show!) but we do hopefully have another this evening.
Well I've had a chat with one of our estate agents and they want us to drop the price again on ours. They have a buy to let investor who is interested but he has offered a ridiculous price!!! I'm so fed up of this selling business I just wish we could sell

Well, we had a viewing the end of last week, they re-viewed Monday, offers discussed Tuesday and this morning and we are now sold STC :-)

8.5k less than the last offer but they've already sold to a first time buyer so very small chain

They want to complete by mid December, so panic stations now as to packing up the house into my parents garage and study!
