the 'investor' who cancelled last week has now said his situation has changed, and no longer wants to view....
Been told by taylor wimpey that we've pretty much missed out on the new house. Feeling gutted and let down by the EA. Tempted to try with another EA but not sure, our mortgage provider has an EA attached, no upfront cost and you only pay if you sell - £499 all in for everything, but theyve said we should put it up for £140?

Is that your house hmd? It's lovely (but maybe move the car in the first pic so a full view of the house can be seen).0
-
yes it is - the EA have said next time they come past they will take a fresh photo without the car there.
Quite a few for sale on our current development (bought brand new almost 5 years ago). But ours is one of the lowest prices, so estate agent is saying it is competition but none of them seem to be selling0 -
Why do you want to sell, sorry if you've already said. I would love a house like that but I'm based in north London and the cost is 5 times that much!
I'm in the process of selling my flat and buying a house and I'm a bit disappointed about the area and house we are buying, it's all we can afford really but it's a step down from the flat we are living in and our current area. Trying to be positive though..0 -
Are your viewings arranged with you? Or does the estate agent just let people into your house? I would say you wouldn't need to clean constantly if they are arranged viewings!0

we want to move because the garden just doesn't work for us - got 2 year old twins, so need something a bit bigger and we would also like a 4th bedroom. We had reserved a house with TW and using their scheme where they pay EA fees etc, but theyve said they are going to have to readvertise the new plot as we haven't sold in time.
It went up for sale middle of May - had 3 viewings so far, 1 of which said it was always higher than her budget, and then had 2 people who have cancelled0 -
Ah it's disappointing you haven't had much interest. The price is great and the house itself is so nice, I would love an ensuite! On the floorplan it shows the smallest bedroom as bedroom 1 and the largest as bedroom 3, that doesn't seem right.
The twins won't be little forever but I guess it's hazardous for them in the garden the way it is. Maybe you need a slide down to the grass rather than stairsI've got a 2 year old, I admire you for managing with twins
Maybe you could extend into the roof? Hopefully your buyer is around the corner.0 -
ive heard august can be quiet anyway, so hoping it pick up next month. I know houses don't sell overnight, but i would have thought we would have had more interest than what we've had0

Not at the moment.0 -
We've been on the market since Feb in London. Steady stream of viewings but no offers
Switched agents a few months back and reduced by 25K a few weeks ago but still nothing. Feeling thoroughly down about it today and considering reducing again. Where we are, the price band for properties similar to ours is massive, it's been really hard to know where we sit within it.
Was hoping to be moved by xmas but looking so unlikely now!
Huff.
What's everyones thoughts on multiple reductions in price? Would it put you off as a buyer?
p.s. hello this is my first post!0
