Dr G great news!
Nothing doing here. Super frustrated.0 -
Well, my place went on the market middle of last week and I have 5 viewings booked in which feels positive. However I have viewed a house myself and my other half very much like so now just waiting for the offers to come in.
No idea how long it will take but really want offers sooner rather than later at a sensible number.0 -
Cheers guys,
turns out the FTB that put in the offer for £203,000 hasn't spoken with their mortgage advisor since Friday (even though apparently he's a friend of theirs, and they were going to speak to him on Saturday, and then Monday), and isn't 100% sure about the area, they ideally wanted an area 0.5 miles away from us.
They have every right to do that, but to be honest it's sent alarm bells ringing for me about how committed they are to the purchase, the EA has previously said that they've been searching with them for a while, and have missed a few other opportunities, it seems to me that they don't know what they want, and just wanted to see if a cheeky offer would be accepted (it almost was as well).
So I've accepted the investors offer, although they are after a quick turn around, stuck between a rock and a hard place now, as we have one eye on a new build, but then there is also a couple of other properties that would put us in a chain.0 -
So lovely to see everyone's good news.
Could we circle and hold hands please? I have two viewings!
We had two at the beginning, both loved the house size, one didn't like the area, one felt it needed too much doing before they would be happy.
Then nothing - and so we agreed to drop from £240 to £225. (The EA wanted 215) - clearly they overpriced to get the business.
Anyway, two new now - one tomorrow, one Saturday.
Send positive vibes or light a candle or whatever it is that will bring them keenness.
Since OH's eldest has moved out we are fronting the entire mortgage ourselves, on a house with no one in it - I'd really like to see it gone.0 -
Good luck!0

I had a viewing on Monday....heard absolutely nothing so obviously a no but so frustrating having to chase the EA.
On a brighter note a house has come on the market I like. Fingers crossed I can sell mine asap then I can view it!0 -
Joined this thread back in May as waiting for a buyer, well tomorrow we complete! Been very stressful but we are almost there.
Good luck all, hope you'll be there soon too xxAgeing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Congrats Clutterfree and Dr Gonzo!! Great results.
I'm sending some house selling dust your way (We send babydust to those wanting babies on a parenting forum I visit) It's a great sort of dust to have
We accepted an offer 1 week ago. Was expecting a call on Monday to say they had changed their minds but have actually instructed their solicitor and sent documents to EA already. Survey has not been arranged yet and that is when the EA will mark property as sold on the tinternet. This ensures they carry on getting interest and although they dont arrange viewings, the interested individuals can be contacted if the sale falls through.
We are viewing a house for a 2nd time tomorrow and it is beautiful but a little pricey. We can afford it but sinking that much into a mortgage is a little scary.
Our solicitor has been instructed and I have a meeting with mortgage advisor tomorrow to get the ball rolling. Not stepping foot into the "waiting to exchange" thread until they have had their survey. Nothing wrong with the property but I know that buyers can get cold feet at that point.
Good Luck and "house selling dust to all"xx
