We are going to call the estate agent and explain what's happened so he can tell the people viewing. Let's hope they're understanding
  • Viewing done. They were here 55 minutes.
How does that compare/is it relevant?
  • Hi All

We are not yet on the market properly, the Estate agent has valued, taken the pictures and we are waiting for them to send us the proofs for approval.

However, on Saturday we had an unexpected viewing, we were given 30 mins warning - panic stations!! Lovely ftb's, seemed like our house would be perfect from what they said, but they were looking at another property too. Our estate agent doesn't open on Sundays so I have been praying for a phone call this morning but nothing. Will leave it a couple of days and then ask the agent for any feed back.

Depends how big your house is!

I've had 45 minute and 10 minute viewings. All came to nought

still waiting for a viewing here :( We've been on the market 10 days and not a sniff :( anyone else have a lot of viewings in the 1st 10 days?
its my 1st time selling and so i'm not sure if i'm expecting too much but a few people I have spoken to suggest that they had an influx of viewings when the house was 1st advertised.

We went on the market on 17th June with an open day on 25th June. Had two people come and see it before it was advertised and then had 10 people booked in for the open day. then the referendum happened had two pull out and a further two no shows. Two other houses in our road had open days in the 4-6 weeks prior to ours both sold within 3 days of the open day at above asking price.

We are now over a week on from the open day and have received one offer £50k below asking price from a couple who aren't even in a strong position and no further viewings. AAAAAAAAAAAArrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh !

To make matters worse we have been gazumped on the property that we were buying over the weekend.

After going mental at the estate agents as they had taken the Cornwall people round this morning without us knowing (so house a complete mess, not been cleaned, dogs there etc) the people offered on it! Rejected first offer and accepted the second one (about 2% under asking price), here's hoping it all goes through OK... apparently they don't have a chain which is good!
First win (October) - Apple Ipod off a radio competition
November - new nokia mobile phone, £250 electrical voucher (both radio comptitions)
March - 2 cinema tickets to see 27 dresses (radio again!)
