We are looking in a very specific area and houses seem to go quite quick there, not a huge a mount come on the market either. We have seen the perfect one but it will probably be sold before we even get ours on the market. I am not letting myself get my hopes up about it. My husband wants to go and view it but I think that would make it even more disappointing if we didn't sell in time to offer on it.
I am worried like you that there will be nothing that we want to buy when ours sells. Got to just go for it though and hope it all works out I suppose.0 -

That is a total nightmare, I can't believe people do that. I'm going to be a nervous wreck I know it. Glad you have got a mother buyer though, hope it works out this time for you.0 -
Another buyer.
Sorry It won't let me edit my post on my phone for some reason0 -
well we've finally had an offer on our house, albeit a low one but Taylor Wimpey are willing to put in a contirbution to bring it up to an amount we are happy with (We've been trying to sell for a year, and i'm so fed up). So we reserved the new house but my wife has had the dreaded call at work...they are reducing numbers in her area from 48 to 28
She is to get a call either today or tomorrow to let her know if she is 1 of the 20 who are being made redundant. So we've held off starting the solicitors stuff just yet
can't believe it0 -
Hi Everyone,
First time seller here. We have decided to go with a local EA although I was quite impressed with purple bricks I don't like the upfront fee as I don't know what the motivation to complete the sale is for them and have heard a few bad things. We have had the floor plan done and have them coming round tomorrow to take pictures. We have spent the weekend decluttering - It still looks a mess, I have no idea how we are going to keep it up for viewings!!! I have a 17mo old as well so turn your back and suddenly all her toys are out, shes found a box of tissues and emptied one of the kitchen cupboards :rotfl:
I'm in hertfordshire and its sunny here so a good day for viewings if anyone has any.Recently married and loving it x0 -

When we sold my OH's home (we had consolidated two homes into one and had a bit too much furniture), we managed to put some of our excess stuff into a work colleague's garage so the 3rd bedroom didn't look completely crammed. If you've got too much stuff, can anybody you know store some of it whilst you sell?Make £2025 in 2025

Thats was a good idea. I think we have most of the stuff in the attic or tidies away but it just seems like an endless task. I just don't think we naturally live in a decluttered state!
How do people manage with washing, I have an empty basket at the min but we don't have a tumble dryer.... how am I meant to do washing whilst my house is on the market!Recently married and loving it x0 -

That isn't what I said. Anyone who is looking at my house will know the area. I was talking about the reason we are moving.0
