We have never argued about money either. We have a couple of joint accounts for bills and personal accounts for savings and personal spends. Neither of us would spend more than, say, £50 on something it wasn't allocated for without informing the other one.
It seems to me as though the OP's OH thinks he should have more personal money than he does. They need to sit down and honestly discuss their finances .(AKA HRH_MUngo)
