  • It's a cup of Earl Grey for me - and a bikky too.

I don't know if anyone has noticed but we have an Australian contributor, she had posted a few times but I don't know if anyone has given her a proper welcome yet, she posted on the 'getting to know' you thread, so we know that she is coming to live in Scotland, I think that we should drag her in the coffee shop and give her a proper welcome, I'll go and see if I can get her in......

I reckon that she's closed down for the night, perhaps she'll drop in next time

    Hi Curry Queen

My Midwife recommend it to me for hormonal days/panicky-oh-my-God-I-have-to-give-birth moments. After I fell over at the price of it I figured it had better work but right now I'm getting more comfort from a Blueberry muffin! (Not home made I'm afriad but reduced in Tescos last night to 33p for 4) Maybe my Midwife was formally a vet & got confused?
Ha, my boss has just come into work sporting a numb jaw & a £375 bill from the dentist, giving me the perfect opportunity to convert him to Den-Plan!

LOL - I say things like that too. 'Good heavens' and 'Blimey' are for when I'm really really REALLY angry. :D

what about fiddlesticks, bother, dash, darn, dagnabbit! or crikey!

as for tescos - do complain and eventually they will cough up, they refunded me the whole cost of my delivery once - over £60 quid, because of the amount of inconvenience it caused me and the fact i didnt lose my rag. Oh and i threatened never to use their service ever again.

strong black coffee and the squishest choclatiest cake you have. PMT, poorly son and a missed business event at the Space Centre because of having to nurse/carry wheezy son - 5 year old, but as big as my 7 yr old daughter. I will look like a bodybuilder if this carries on. Math can we have a group crying session?!

My Mum, who doesn't swear AT ALL!, favours "shirt buttons & buckets of blood" or "cork lino" in the height of temper tantrums:D :rotfl:

Ohhhh tell me more! I've completely given up on getting any dental treatment on the NHS so looks like I'll have to go private and I think that's gonna be sooner than later as I suspect I have an abscess somewhere due to the pain and earaches I've been getting lately :(

I know I need a fair amount of work doing anyway which I doubt I can afford to pay for it all so would be interested in one of these plans.

No, No I haven't gone to bed just yet. There were problems with the server so I went and made myself a soup & by that time all was fixed. Believe it or not it's pretty cold here tonight. I am waiting up for my daughter to txt me to say she got to the Gold Coast safely. It's our show holiday here & her & 3 pals have gone down for 3 nights. She's driving & coming from a small town she was a bit worried (me too) how she would cope in the traffic. Bit of a worry wart but I know I won't sleep until I know she's there. So will be on here for a wee while more. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Welcome, have a :coffee:

I'm sure your daughter is fine, but I understand the worry...it comes with the job / role as parent.
