The Chip n Pin thing isn't too bad with my debit card, but I'm about to get a new credit card and will have to remember that pin number as well now. What's the betting that I will get them mixed up. I'm use to using my pin number with my debit card and I always try and cover up the pad as best I can with my free hand.
And whilst I'm here.... Can I have a large Orange Juice & Lemonade with lots of ice...with a huge pile of lemon sorbet please.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Well, it was mumbled at me by a cashier - but i think what he meant was - if your card has a chip on it you will no longer be able to sign - which i do sometimes if i cant remember my number or my chip is broken - or i think that everyone can see what im typing in.I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!

a friend did this with her credit card. She froze it in a tupperware box full of water. If she needed to use it for something then the time it took to thaw out made her thing long and hard as to whether she needed the item or just wanted it.
She found it stopped splurges and she never carried it with her so there was not the same temptation to use it.
A locked drawer might be a good first step to see if it might work for you. Less drastic than cutting it up I suppose.
Make mine a double shot latte please. I am falling asleep this afternoon.....nothing to do with the hangover of courser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
I have changed the pin numbers on both my credit & debit cards to the same one, I know this is more of a security risk but I never forget it as it is the last 4 digits of a memorable (not mine!) phone number. The other downside is that if you pull out the wrong card you may not realize your mistake until it's too late, hasn't happened to me yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. However, I cannot for the life of me see how we can reasonably be expected to remember every pin number, pass code, pass word, membership number, phone number, entry code & dates of birth/maiden name etc that we are asked for now?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Does this coffee shop sell ice cream? I could really do with one of those blocks of ice cream you used to get between two wafers and wrapped up in paper. Or is that wishful thinking??!
Queenie - my Dad has always called me 'number 2 daughter' :rolleyes:0 -
But I thought that we had all given our kids similar names anyway. I mean, my boys ARE called DS1 and DS2. Aren't yours?0

My Grandaprents always used to introduce my Dad as their number 2 son, despite the fact that he was the eldest by 8 years:mad: And they had the cheek to deny that it was favourtisim:mad: Beacuse of this I have vowed that I will never ever have DS1 & DS2, I will have to call them DS + initial or something (although I'm only planning on having one anway;) ) Sorry, on my Friday afternoon soap box.....will get off & grab an Earl Grey if I may?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
