Its in the ground. I might get some plant food at the weekend and see if that does any good.

gosh moggins - with that amount of caffine you'll be jumping around all over the place for the next couple of weeks!!!!!

Had a bad morning already? Well, I'll join you and have a latte.

rchddap - have you been overwatering it? That's how I ususally kill all my plant forms.

Don't water it at all. Even when we had the hot summer a couple of years ago I generally left it alone and it was fine. It can't be all the rain we had recently because the 'dead branch' started dying a couple of weeks ago.

I hope it does die, but if it does I'll just have to dig it up and then find a replacement.

It might benefit from a severe "hair cut". That often invigorates plants and, just in case you have a disease or infection, would give you a good chance of containing the problem.

Mineral water for me this morning please. I'm feeling very virtuous as I had an early morning workout this morning - something I haven't done for ages & really should do more often.

can't help with the rosemary problem - I have 2 in my garden & one is ridiculously healthy & the other looks a bit sad & sorry for itself.

    Morning All

Afraid I can't help with the Rosemary problem, I've killed off 2 in the last 2 years, (and that's not counting the Rosemary who is my mother-in-law. Despite temptation I have continued to let her live. So far). The only advice I have is if it starts to look dead whip off the dried leaves & store in a zip-loc bag for future use in cooking! Try growing chives instead, they seem impervious to my death-by-gardening charms.

Am feeling particaully hormonal & weepy this morning, please can I have a cup of tea & a hug??

The Rosemary will either continue to grow, or will die. I don't think I can really do much more at this stage. Only time will tell.

As for Chives...I have some in a pot and they are starting to flower. They live there with some thyme and some sage. I use to have some parsley, but it died over the winter...I'll have to get some more. Mind you my pot seems to be completely full of roots and so I'm tempted to have it out next spring, but it could be a battle and a half.

I have also got a curry plant in the garden, which is a few doors down from the rosemary. We only put it in this year and so far it is going well. It has a lovely smell and the pale / silver leaves look lovely. So if my rosemary does die I already have something else to 'love' instead.

Morning all, can I have a strong black coffee please. I haven't been well this week and I need to go and tend my baby plants but I can't seem to get going. My tomato plants are crying out to get planted but it's been so windy here that I daren't hang the baskets up yet.
Regarding the rosemary, it could be a cold wind which has affected that. I would cut it back and give it a feed.
