It's a cup of Earl Grey for me - and a bikky too.
I don't know if anyone has noticed but we have an Australian contributor, she had posted a few times but I don't know if anyone has given her a proper welcome yet, she posted on the 'getting to know' you thread, so we know that she is coming to live in Scotland, I think that we should drag her in the coffee shop and give her a proper welcome, I'll go and see if I can get her in......0 -

Am feeling particaully hormonal & weepy this morning, please can I have a cup of tea & a hug??
Tell me about it. I'm a man living on the edge today. Everything keeps going wrong and my tesco order delivered late and half the stuff missing was the final straw. I'm afraid I really lost it. Once the delivery van pulled off I went " TUT"Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
Some of these tesco delivery people seem to have a few screws missing to me. On my last delivery I ordered some kebabs. What did I get instead...a steak. And he realistically thought that I would keep it. Suprisingly enought I told him to take it back. He also brought me some squashed magnum icecreams..which reminds me I must complain about those
I had a late delivery once (only ordered a few times) as the van broke down. So instead of enjoying my afternoon I was left waiting for the blasted shopping to arrive.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Morning all. Cup of tea and a nice slice of sticky cake please. Got my laundry on the go, slow-cooker on, DS2 bribed to stay quiet while I have me cuppa.
Does anyone have any sooper-dooper hints on washing fruits and veggies really clean, of all these nasty pesticides we're buying if we can't afford organic? I have heard people say they wash things like apples in washing up liquid, which I can understand because some of them are covered in so much wax. But what about things like cauli and brocolli? I did try soaking in bicarb water but I'm sure I read somewhere that that's not good for them - destroys vitamins or something?
Right, ta for the tea - I'll sit here for a mo and await your suggestions0 -

LOL - I say things like that too. 'Good heavens' and 'Blimey' are for when I'm really really REALLY angry.0 -

I'd offer to share my Bach's Flower Rescue Remedy but quite frankly it isn't working. A large gin might take the edge off but I don't think the coffee shop is licensed? Do you need a tissue Math?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -

I'd hate to see you get really annoyed then
Not had a great start to the morning myself, having been woken up suddenly again by the ******* butchers downstairs after only a couple hours sleep, then go down to find someone else's mail through my letterbox, so where the hell is mine grrrr  ... take it my postie must be on holiday again
Not sure if I need or strong coffee or a large vodka at this rate but guess I'll have to settle for :coffee: in here."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I've only ordered a couple of times from Tesco - both just around Christmas last year when they must have been rushed off their feet. Both deliveries were bang on time, the driver was friendly and good humoured, and the order was spot on.
I was impressed.
So if I can't get to my local Asda and am really stuck I'll be more than happy to use Tesco again.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. 'Fraid you can't have that in here either cos it contains alcohol
I have a couple of bottles of it somewhere but I haven't yet figured out if it works or is just a placebo effect on me. It must do something though as it definitely works on horses and they don't know they're taking it"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It took me a while to find them again but my mum regularly sends me a WI Market hamper for Christmas. She sent one when I came out of hospital to save me having to shop and cook too much as well.
They're ideal gifts to send to your loved ones far far away. You can order on-line or by phone and then the nearest local WI to your delivery point make up the hamper.
