    Hi all,

I've had a go at the Challenges Sticky and have set two different joining places for the Grocery Challenge and for the Pin Money Savings challenge.

You can now join at the first post if you wish to read the whole thread...

..or you can join at the last post if you want to add your own bits.

    Cake Mix:rolleyes:

help, My OH, who works for a well known catering suppliers, is often able to buy stuff from work at very much reduced prices if the packaging is damaged. Todays little gem is a 12.5kg box of chocolate cake mix, that just needs to have water added to it, for £2.00 So a bargain I think, trouble is any one got a cake tin big enough and come to think of it a rather large oven. The thing is he brought home a 2kg tin of cocoa powder, that cost hom 50p two weeks ago which i had earmarked for cakes etc, so now we have chocolate thingies coming out of our earholes._pale_

So if anyone wants any, send me a virtual plastic bag, recycled and washed of course and I wil send some. Ideal for the coffee shop Squeaky

Strong Coffee and choc cake needed here as our builders have not turned up again! One day the kitchen will be finished! I can't really move back in to it properly until all the work is done.

Catznine: I hope you have stocked up on sugar.
It never fails to astonish me everytime we've had builders or tradespeople, the sugar bowl is empty in less than a week.

    Hi all,

I've added a hints and tips section to our Indexed Collections sticky. At the moment it points to just three threads so if you spot any others please let me know.

    :)

Hello there all. Hot chocolate for me please.

One quick query. I have a rosemary bush / plant in my garden. I bought it a couple of years ago for £2 from a garden nursery as it was in a sorry state. For the past couple of years it really has been flourishing, but I have recently noticed a few problems.

One of the branches has died (ie, all leaves turned brown and dropping off). Also, some of the leaves further on the other other branches and on the main stem have turned yellow. I'm hoping that this is because its been getting too dense and the other leaves / branches need more space to grow, but I wanted to get some ideas.

Last night I gave it a good trim and tried to clean off the leaves that have died and it does look a bit better, but I'd still like to know if I should worry. Its one of those tall rosemary versions, rather than the bush type.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

You might get a good answer or three if you ask your question in one of our grow your own threads. If you go to the Organic Foods link in our new Indexed Collections sticky you can pick the gardening thread that you think would be the best one.

I thought about that after I posted above. Lets just say I had a late night and I haven't managed to wake myself up yet.

Is it in a pot or in the garden soil? if it's in a pot it probably needs plant food, if it's in the soil maybe plant food will cheer it up too
