    No.

They'll know you're lying and will then set your Sky Box to receive only the 'Challenge' TV channel.

There have been flyers, with good offers, which it would be easy to claim receipt of , in the past, but your account may have a record of any offer letters sent ( this being extremely unlikely anyway, as you are still in minimum term).

So they will know that they sent me 20% off letter??

so I should tell them that they sent me 20% off letter & see if they can do better?

I will only stay for another 12 months if they offer me 50% off no less

Just cancel and see what they offer.
  • Since 1st July it appears that the standard offer when cancelling via chat seems to be 25% off for 5 years with only a 12 month commitment. This chat will almost certainly take longer than an hour and they will try to tell you how good they are and what you will be missing even if you don't subscribe to or watch the bloody football or movies. They will even provide you with links to their competitors offers. If you tell them to stop wasting your time and cancel you will most likely immediately see a 35% off for 12 months on MySky.

If you go back and tell them it's not enough it's likely they will try to offer you 50% off for 10 months (works out at 41.67% for 12 months).

Since 1st July it appears that the only way to better this is to wait until your 31 days notice runs out and they finally realise that you are serious about cancelling at which point they may phone you or you can contact them.

Common sense tells you that a customer paying some money ought to be better than a lost customer and no money at all but this is Sky who don't appear to understand simple logic and always want to try and extract the last penny out of every customer.

I had an email, then today a letter, offering me 25% off any tv package (except HD and multiroom) , yet still have over 6 weeks of minimum term to run and have made no contact with them.

Have 2 months to go on the basic tv package.
Last year got 50% off for 10 months plus £20 credit to account.
As prices went up in june I have been paying £12.50 a month of late and faced 2 months @22.50 before contract end.
So phoned to see what would happen if I stated cancellation as the reason for the the call.
Was immediatly offered 50% off for 10 months again automatically on a 12 month contract, bringing price down to £11.25 straight away.No talking to advisors required. Will ring again in another 10 months.
