    Hi Shelly

I was watching a tv programme about fertility and one of the couples on that were genetically incompatible. It had something to do with the couples DNA being too similar and the womans body was rejecting it and she had 4 or 5 mc. The couple on that had some kind of immunotherapy and conceived naturally within a few months. It is worth finding out more about this to see if it could be the answer.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it :A

Hopefully it won't be too long before we get an appointment with the fertility doc. I'm definately going to get this test done first before we use NHS money or our own on IVF or similar treatment. I'd hate to waste money then find out we aren't compatible, I'd rather find that out first.

How early did you do the tests? Were they on say the 4th and 5th? Do another one now if you done the previous 2 quite early. I'd tend to believe the result the test gave me at 9 days late.

I don't know about your docs but I know my docs don't tend to do tests themselves to confirm pg, they tend to just advise doing a HPT and go with that result.

    Good Luck

    Hiya,
Thanks for your advice. I took another test today and got the BFN. I'm a bit fed up cos yesterday i had a bit of light spotting and same this morning. I just wish i knew what was going on.
I think i'll leave it til the end of the week and then if i still haven't had AF i will go to docs.

    Hi Sharon.

Sorry you didn't get the result you wanted.
Its a good idea to go to the docs if spotting isn't what you're used to, just to set your mind at rest.
For me spotting for a couple of days before AF comes properly is usual but if its not what you're used to it can be confusing/worrying etc.

Good Luck and try not to worry :D

    Hi guys

shelly that's good news about the NHS. I hope it all goes well for you.

well haven't been online for a while. trying to relax and not think about ttc! We definately BD'd at the right times this month and my personal monitor defiantely helped pinpoint ov dates. on day 26 of cycle, so will see what happens. resisted the urge to poas, which is good and will try and wait until day 30-32 as that was my approx cycle last month.

feeling more relaxed in general this month and so that makes me hopeful - but know i'll be disapointed if not pg. I'm sure nature has it all planned out - it would just be nice to have a wee insight that's all :D

Oh dear - I've just burst into tears at work. One of the guys just announced they are having another baby, 2 announced the same last month and one had their baby in March. There's only 12 of us in the company! I smiled nicely and congratulated the most recent one then went into toilet and cried. I'm now more composed and came here to tell you about it as I can't be the only one who feels like this!

The weird thing is, I'm honestly not jealous - I know our time will come eventually, I think it all got a bit much for me with so many announcements in a short time and such a small company.

We are getting married in October so although we are ttc, it's not a priority with so much planning to do, so we are very relaxed about that, and we honestly don't think about it for weeks at a time as we're so busy with other things, which is just as well as I know stressing about it can hinder progress, it's not even been in the back of my mind this past few months and been so focussed on wedding things.

AF hasn't been regular since coming off the pill last June/July, currently between 6 and 11 week cycle, so am working on charting the cycle these past few months so that after the wedding if still not pg we can at least ttc on the right days. Problem is, these past 2 months have had a positive result on ov sticks and saliva test, for one day only at 2 or 3 different points in the cycle. Not really conclusive and doesn't help me to predict AF (the one thing I loved about being on the pill, I knew when AF was due down to the time of day - 8.30 on Monday morning lol).

I know I can see the doctor in July as we'd have been effectively ttc for a year, he already sent me for day 21 tests to check for ovulation although with such an irregular cycle of course it showed nothing. So not long to wait, will keep charting my cycle and carry on BDing every 2 or 3 days as we always do anyway.

Just read this back and sorry it's a bit long and rambling, just needed to get it off my chest, no-one knows I'm ttc so can't vent about it apart from to OH.

    Hi honeypop.
I know exactly what you mean. It's not actually jealousy when these things come up, but it still hurts. I think for me its "that's another one that's beaten me to it then". Which just makes me feel useless. Are you maybe hormonal at the moment? I find that I can deal with it all just fine unless my hormones are factored in, then it all goes wrong.

It's nice for you that you are trying without it feeling like a "need" just yet, but I know that for us, as soon as it became a conscious possiblity (instead of consciously avoiding it like I've done the rest of my life) it became all consuming... My point is, don't be surprised that it affects you more than you thought it would, the whole thing just gets overwhelming sometimes.

    Hi Honeypop

I know how you feel, my closest friend is 11 weeks pregnant, and her other close friend is 22 weeks so she cried when she found out about her friend and I got a bit upset when I found out about her!!!

Forgot to say CD27 today so if i OV'd when I suspect I did then AF should be due any day now....

Feeling the usual nasuea but no where near as badly as the last few months!!! Here's hoping I can POAS in a few days and get a BFP.
