I google adoption letters just to see if there are any examples as I wouldn't have a clue what to write too! I found this & hope it could give you an idea.

    I have to disagree :o

My way of thinking is that you can't get pregnant before the pains as there is no egg. To me the pain signals egg release so we do it on the day the pains start and for a couple of days after the pain.
I am only now trying to work out what day I should ovulate so that we can do it the day before pains start so that the sperm is there ready for when the egg is released. Rather than waiting for the day the egg is released.
To my way of thinking you are more likely to fall pg during/after ovulation pains.

Now you still are no wiser Redmel :rotfl:

You could just do it every day then there would be no confusion;)
  • Hi all, I havent posted for a while but basically we have had the results of ohs blood tests after a couple of really low sperm tests, and they have revealed that his fsh levels are low and they are going to put him on a course of tamoxifen. I have googled this and it is a breast cancer drug? Cant really find any info on it having any effect on sperm, can anyone advise at all?

    Hi

Skintbutsmiling, Tamoxifen helps to increase levels of progesterone, which in men should aid the increase of the sperm count.

I hope it works for him

Hello - I've been lurking for a long time, reading all the info on here and trying to learn, but now have a couple of questions please.

We've been TTC for 4 years now with no luck and every month I've had all the CM signs, achy b**bs etc, etc, but in the last year my AF has started to vary between 28 - 45 days. I've learnt on here that apparently your luteal phase is always the same length and can't vary so does that mean that when I ovulate has started to change or that I've stopped altogether?

This month for instance, I've got no aches at all and am now on CD28 but have just started to get all the CM signs

Am thinking about giving up as am now 40 and Mum had early menopause at 41 so I think my time may be up.

Sorry for the long post - any tips gratefully received.

Ugh, so much for me working out my cycle length. This month AF has been weird again.

I started spotting on Fri 3rd May, that carried on until Mon 6th when I got a bit of proper AF but didn't wake up with it, it came on during the morning. Only had that one day of AF then spotting again on 7th and today I'm pretty much clear.

For arguments sake though I think I'll call the 6th my first day. Which makes my cycle 30 days.

So for all you more knowledgeable girls than me who know figures off the tops of your heads, what date (roughly) should I be OV?

    thanks

    Hiya,
According to the date of your LMP being 6th May and having a 30 day cycle you should ovulate on the 22nd May. Check out the following link for an ovulation calendar.
