however for the last few days my nipples have been really sore to touch and - as my OH puts it - i've been smuggling peanuts :o

Do any of you get this around AF (which based on a 28 day cycle is due next monday)? don't want to let my imagination get the better of me as i'll only be dissapointed when AF arrives otherwise.

When AF is near, my boobs feels "full" & nipples sore to touch. I've never been on pill but have been having this "full" feeling & sore nipples for the last 2 years. My symptoms seems to be changing as I aged ;). I used to get spots when AF is near, but no longer.

wishing - is there any explanation from the docs why you guys are normal + fertile but can't "hit the jackpot"? Someone mentioned it happenned to them too & turns out when she tried BD with legs up in the air, she was pg the next mth coz her cervix was too high. Its good you are getting help now. Hopefully it's good news for you soon. Sounds like you've been through lots!

That is horrible! I for one would like some explanation if something is not working as it should be. But, with medicine it's difficult. Everything is a guessing game. I sincerely hope IUI goes well & you get the BFP soon!

Steph - Awww.... that's a horrible pain/feeling to have that sore nipples! Don't know what you can do/use TBH, but when my nipples are sore, I put some pressure on it and make sure DH is nowhere near it! :D This is what I do each mth. I can't feel the sore feeling as much when there is pressure but I don't know what to do/use. I just feel better when I do that. Must be a psychological thing.

I have certain bras that are better or worse than others. I also have been known to pop a cotton pad in my bra, as sore nipples for me are always sticky out ones, and making sure they aren't catching on anything makes a difference.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Thanks Static! always get a bit lost, so it's good to repost the list every now and then.

as i'm on the first cycle since comming off the pill (which i had been on for as long as i can remember) i have no idea what it going on  ... but i've had all manner of strange aches and pains which i keep trying to not let myself think are PG symptoms...however for the last few days my nipples have been really sore to touch and - as my OH puts it - i've been smuggling peanuts :o

    Hi there

I've had all these symptoms this monht, although they have disappeared now! AF hasn't shown up and i thought i was pg, but tests say i'm not :D

i think just coming off hte pill has a huge amount to do with it - I've only been off about 7-8 weeks now and my cycle obviously hasn't settled down.

I found that a padded bra felt easier to wear :D

good luck (nice to know i'm not alone though wouldn't wish this on anyone :D )

    xxx

    Hi

wishing, i'm sorry to hear about your troubles. My friend ttc for 7 years she went for all manner of tests. The doctors etc couldn't find anything explicitly wrong with either of them, they were eventually told that it is likely they will never have a baby toether....i'm not sure of the reasons they gave. Last year, my friend spent the year seeing a counsellor to come to terms with it.....
Anyway just before new year she phoned me to tell me she was pregnant, she is about 22/23 weeks now. The only explanation the doctors have given her is that it may have been psycological, and once she had stopped ttc and was more relaxed during BD, this might be why she has now concieved.
I'm not sure if my story helps you in any way, i just thought it might give you hope that one day it may just happen....most likely when you are not expecting it too....
