Hi
miss-pink - We do it 2-4 times a week, depending on how we are feeling, tired, stressed etc..
I went to have my blood taken yesterday so will phone at the end of next week to see if they are all back.
AF arrived today(would've be 8 weeks tom) so i'm glad I didn't bother with a test. My hormones are up in the air as well as being upset at not being pregnant, which didn't help me when I found myself in a stressful situation at my mum's house....the result....a massive argument, in which I told a few people a lot of home-truths!!!!
Anyway, back home now, feeling a bit wound-up, and as I know i'm not pregnant I am going to go and open a beer.....

Enjoy your beer Mel...
Don't worry too much about those home truths, we all do it, relish it, regret it then normally decide the truth was better off told in the end.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Well AF arrived yesterday. I have to say I am relieved as the tests were saying I wasn't pg, but AF was taking a very long time to show up.
It feels like a new start and I am sure that things have settled down into a more fixed cycle (she says hopefully!).
Decided to go with the persona monitor to help me work out the best days to be BD'ing. It's not a popular choice, but i feel reassured by it - I think it's the element of someone/thing else backing up what you are thinking i.e. today is a good day to be BD'ing etc
I am sending positive vibes out to everyone - this will be the month we all fall pg together
Oh and I promise to be more rational and not jump to conclusions this month0 -
Hi
Jiblets - Thanks, and I did enjoy my beer.....
Starting - Good luck with the persona thingy, I hadn't heard of it before so just googled it!! Looks quite interesting.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone again. Not been much TTC activity for us this month. My ovulation came just as i was the other side of the world to BF! I jetted off to New York to celebrate a friends birthday, which was great but guess it means another month gone.
I also have an inspiring story about TTC, Yesterday i met my best friends sister in law who has a lovely 5 month old son. She had been TTC for 8 years, and was about to go on 2nd round of IVF when she fell pregnant naturally. She has just found out that she is pregnant again! She and hubby assumed that it would be difficult to concieve again and had not been using protection. The children will be exactly 1 year and 2 weeks apart, she is over the moon but has threatened hubby with the snip!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

good luck this month startingttc x i've also bought a persona monitor but haven't tried using it yet so would be interested to know how you get on! one thing that puts me off is cost of the sticks which don't seem much cheaper on ebay. Cheapest I've found them is £8.33 for pack of 8 at accessdiagnostics but have to buy 6 packs to get them for that price! In the spirit of MSE I was wondering if you have found anywhere cheaper?
i feel a little worried because it looks like I didn't ovulate this month from my temperatures and also for first time since I remember I didn't have EWCM this month either. I had appointment for smear last week and mentioned that we are trying and that I'm concerned about my luteal phase being only 9 days long. I even told a little white lie that we had been trying for over a year in the hope that would be taken seriously but she was still dismissive. Her advice was to relax and she told me that her friend tried for 14 years and then adopted and a year later got pregnant so it would happen for me one day
I just don't see how it can happen if not ovulating and even if egg was fertilised implantation can't take place *sigh*0 -

What makes you say this? Why can't a fertilised egg implant?:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi Shelley
I found this explaination of luteal phase defect on babyhopes.com which explains better than I can why my fertilised egg wouldn't implant at the moment:
__________________________
Luteal Phase Defect
A luteal phase is the time in a woman's cycle between ovulation and menstruation. In a pregnant woman, during the luteal phase the fertilized egg will travel from the fallopian tube and into the uterus for implantation. The luteal phase is normally 14 days long and on an average it can be anywhere from 10 to 17 days long. If your luteal phase lasts anything under 10 days it is considered a luteal phase defect. But some doctors believe that if the luteal phase falls under 12 days, then it is a problem. If you conceive and you have a luteal phase defect, you will have an early miscarriage.
A luteal phase defect cannot sustain a pregnancy because the uterine lining in these women begins to break down, bringing on the menstrual bleeding and causing an early miscarriage. There could be more than one reason for the luteal phase defect which can be found out after medical analysis. Going by statistics, the number one reason for a luteal phase defect is low progesterone levels.

Thanks Miss Penny. You learn something new every day!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
